Normally this is a good strategy, but in the crypto market very often all currencies go up and down simultaneously.
So, maybe it's better not to bet everything on the crypto, and to differentiate with other types of investment.

Usually they recommend you to diversify your investment, so you avoid losses.

But as a real approach, having $1.5k, would you invest in how many cryptocurrencies ?

What if I invest little by little, only in Bitcoin, would that work as well ?
Diversification is logical. Never put all your eggs in one basket.
Best option is to split your holdings... 50% BTC and 50% Ethereum.

Yes ofc this is one of the first rules, never invest all into a single investment, always diversify it.
Choose some good coins around here, like PRiVCY and make your asset stronger for the future Wink

I think that if we diversify our investment, we have little risk to take than investing in just one coin. But before you diversify your investments, it should be very important that you carefully study which coins to invest in. Investing in bitcoin is very risky, but we can also be sure that we can have good profit in the future.

I would like only to add here something more. You should be extremely careful and cautious when choosing the stuff to invest in. Besides the crypto and real estate, there are the things that can bring you more profit.

I think having 1.5k $ is only ideal for 3-4 choices which is also limited. Since if you  diversify more than that number with your investment of 1.5k $ then you are just wasting your time since your invest could only move a little.

Of course it’s always good to diversify your investment, but when you talk of cryptocurrencies alone, sometimes I don’t even see a reason for me to diversify and invest in altcoins except ETH and XRP, BCH, cause others don’t really make sense to me and they just keep falling and when they yield income it’s always so little. So if you want to diversify you’re investment just divide it for cryptocurrency (Bitcoin), stocks/assets like Gold, Silver and Diamond, real estates etc.

Diversifying too much is not reasonable. Too much portfolio means too much risk, too. While you do this, you should 3-4 coins that are reliable for you. Thus, your investment risk will decrease.

maybe more precisely to invest in trials first. but if you are sure that crypto will be able to invest everything. but for beginners it might be better to invest a little first.
One should diversify investment because putting all the eggs in one basket may result in loss due to occasional problems. If we diversify it then we will be taking profit every time after selling and will prevent ourselves from loss in one source or individual source. The overall profit will cover the loss we may make in one source so therefore we have have to spread our savings in multiple sources.

You can invest only in bitcoin if you don't want to invest in other cryptocurrencies. If given the choice, I would just invest in bitcoin as I am almost sure that it will exist for a long time compared to other cryptocurrencies that are only use for speculation purposes. There are other coins that has a real purpose of solving the current problems with regards to transactions to make it more efficient and effective but bitcoin has been the very first cryptocurrency and it retain its position because many still believe in it

I believe investment in crypto, especially bitcoin is still promising, because as digital money the prospects are very bright. The future is the world of technology, where the price of bitcoin as a digital currency continues to increase. If there is a price reduction it is reasonable because of various sentiments. But it is better if the money held is not invested in crypto all, it needs to be diversified so that it is safer and more profitable.

I usually invest in coin in the top20. These are the coin types that have a great influence on the market, with large volume and easy to get high profits. Bitcoin, EOS, NEO, Eth are example ... Inadditon, you should Enhance your knowledge of crypto and markets, to select the right investment.

Having this kind of topic is really educational for me since I am new to investing and I feel like there is so much to learn. But I do want to understand and be serious about it. I've heard that it is best to start when you're young. This is easier said than done because when you're young you don't make the same salary as your older co-workers, you have to start building your life by establishing your home, family, etc, put your kids through school, and still enjoy life. But I know that it is worth it when it is time to retire. Thanks for using food to explain what a portfolio is. It has helped me more than you know.

Investment diversification will make us less likely to lose money, and it can be seen that the market today has a lot of potential coins and the choice to hold a few coins is a wise decision.

Do not listen to anybody when making a financial decision because each situation is unique. Surely deversification desrease your risk but from another hand you will not be able to earn much enough if your supposition are right. Let us have a look at and another situation if an investor are totally wrong then diversification will not help him too.it's your decision and keep fighting

With 1.5 I would invest in 3 or 4 cryptos.
I would spend less than 200 bucks for an investment.
Invest little by little would work as well. In fact its a common method that all big investors using, they invest every now and then, little by little.

Investing only in one portfolio is very risky even we investing our money in bitcoin. Bitcoin is safe investment but the price always have high volatile. Better diversify our investment in several investment portfolio, not only on crypto but we can invest in property or stocks or bonds.

I think all of these investments have risks that each has a measure of risk, some have very high risk and some have a small risk, depending on the choice you want to take what kind of investment and depends on your courage. for altcoin the risk is greater than bitcoin.
