Many people knows, even from the same Latin America, that region is not so much involved technically with the crypto world.

The most of people I know,

1. They just "trade", buy any coin and wait its price go up to sell to take profit. (Speculation)

2. Other type of people they just buy or sell Bitcoins as a product.

3. Some people is having BTC only to hold... And so there are many people does not really know about the world of cryptocurrencies, talking technically.

Due to this we have thought to create the first Foundation in Latin America involved mainly in this new technology. One of the purposes of this Foundation will be as follows:

1. To support new projects based on Blockchain. (Mainly)
2. To guide users or newbies to understand many things of this topic, this is leaded to people really wants to know at computer level how Blockchain, Tokens, Cryptocurrencies work. All the process having a cryptocurrency is sent from a part to another one.
3. To teach by informal learning to people all these things that sometimes are difficult to understand.

Let us to know your opinion, or questions whether you have about this project. Smiley

I think it's a good idea, the biggest problem now is the lack of knowledge of blockchain technology by most people. we must disclose the potential of blockchain technology.

Mine is not so much a question as a comment.  I think your goal is a good one, plus I truly like your idea of getting crypto on the map more in Latin America. I have spent a lot of time in in Chile and Argentina in the 1990s and I have the impression that one way to increase the acceptance of crypto is to suggest that crypto be taken by some of the hospitality vendors, such as hotels and restaurants.  This should be an attractive option for them, especially in the slower times of the year when everyone is looking for additional revenue sources.  Once the vendors start experiencing the upside of crypto world (significant additional revenue), they will become megaphones for spreading the word to other players in the crypto and regular economies!

Yes, also our idea is to expand this knowledge mainly in Latin America as I said. Taking in account these commerce and people can learn how it actually works.

This is a great idea that will help in the mainstream adoption of crypto. The first step is always to let people know the potential blockchain has and how to use it. To me this is a welcome development.

Hello, I already had an idea last year I tried to put it into practice, but it did not work very well. I'm from Brazil, beginning of last year I started to post videos on YouTube about Bitcoin and its blockchain technology. When I reached about a thousand followers, I wrote an e-book called My First Bitcoin, in this e-book it has all basic information about bitcoin, wallet, blockchain, mining, and so on.

It was sold and had a good sale, cool. But my view on crypto-coins is not tied only to buying and selling investment. But in the development of new technologies and tools using blockchain.

That was the downside, people think that bitcoin falls from the sky and will win from day to night on any website and get rich. Unfortunately I ended up getting discouraged and stopped recording videos. But I still have a public of followers of help, currently.

Your idea is good, but you need a great team to reach a much larger audience.

What is the name of your foundation? And you're sure it's the first and only one? I know of several people in Latin America who are very involved with cryptocurrencies. I will try to remember some from my head:
PhD Mario Larangeira who works with Cardano.
Everton Fraga who is one of the leading developers Ethereum.
Sergey Ivancheglo, IOTA developer who is a professor at a Brazilian university.
Wences Casares from Xapo
Diego Gutierrez and Sergio Lerner from RSK
Sebastian Serrano from ripio

According to an HSBC survey* , about 60% of consumers across the world said they never heard about blockchain technology, and that 80 percent of those who have heard of blockchain don’t understand what it is. Meanwhile, there are exciting stories everyday about interesting blockchain and decentralized applications touching important world issues like money transfers and financial system, health, and the energy industry. In order for these ideas to play out, they need people to participate. The only way this can happen is if we inform the public about its advantages. Those people you mentioned are not a proof that everybody in America know about Blockchain as they are professionals in technical path when public doesn't have to know the details of the behind-scene code when they should know (generally) that blockchain is just behind-the-scenes code. That’s all  Smiley but any person dosn’t need to be the person who knows how to code for it, but he does need to know the type of systemic changes it can affect.. he does also need to know the industries it can effect.

Hmmm. You are already doing good and have reached 1000 followers, you should at least explain in your videos that bitcoin is not a get rich quick scheme, takes a lot of patience and some element of luck. If I were you I will continue to do in educating your fellow Latin Americans so that they will understand how everything works and its not as what it is being portrayed in Media (scams, used by criminals etc) and show them that upside of bitcoin and cryptocurrency.

Is this a for-profit venture or a non-profit one? For both of them, you can take a look at similar projects in other regions/countries for guidance and ideas.
