Some of the team from MetaCo.in and SquareWear are trying to decide whether or not to go to the NYC conference.  It seems like a lot of people are on the fence.  I get the sense that we all want to go, we're just all worried it will be like 20 people hanging out in a big room speculating on which one of us might be Satoshi.

Has anyone heard confirmation of the speaker list?  Is Gavin definitely going?  Is the 20 RSVP on the meetup page a good representation of how many will actually come?

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

The Bit-Pay team is definitely going.  Stephen, Tony, and Alison.

My team from BitInstant will probably be there, we'll be launched by then.

I'll be flying in with some of the TradeHill guys as well.

BitcoinSolutionsLLC will have people there.  The main developer for biddingpond.com will be there as well.

We would have come (MtGox) if someone told us about this with a bit more advance notice (it falls right on japanese holidays of obon, which means planes are expensive and mostly overbooked)~

FWIW, I'm going, but I'm just a low-profile Swedish developer. My only claim to fame is that I did about half of the coding of the Java Bitcoin API code.

I would call you at least medium-profile then.  Wink Do you work for Google?

I have registered and am looking forward to it!

I may have a table as well, depending on the flow of coins.  Smiley
