it's always hard to use one dimension to present a variety of contradictory slants, but in short I am center right in the context of the UK and very left wing in the USA.

I hold two opinions that while not mutually exclusive, create a number of powerful contradictions. I'm not great with political terms and my opinions are somewhat complex, I'm happy to accept that I may be wrong, confused or inconsistent and welcome comments.

Very good point. It's also better to make up your own view than adopting a political belief as as alternative for religion. In some areas I agree with with progressives in some other areas I share the views of libertarians. At the same time I am happy to change my mind if the argument convinces me.

I'd say what is the closest to my political view is anarcho-capitalism.
I believe the world and markets can regulate themselves freely, and that the state is unwanted and toxic. Taxation is theft.
