Hello everyone

I just found out today that this was a scam please tell me you are really joking. I have invested our life saving and sold our stuff and my son's to try to start a new bitcoin business. And I am now out of work so I went to check on my order and the site is gone. My wife is going to kill me. I didn't check on it because back order takes forever any way I was hoping to have it before the holidays and now this on top of being out of work. Please tell me this is a joke.

the hope is vircurex will come through.  They have been solid so far, I expect they will not steal your coins (or mine).  But who knows.  We will find out.

Managed to get in touch with Vircurex support via skype message. Here's what was said.

[9:53:34 AM] *** Call to Vircurex Support, busy. ***
[9:53:53 AM] Vircurex Support: Hi there, dealing with multiple customers right now, feel free to leave a message.
[9:54:32 AM] larfingshnew: Hi. Thanks for you're response. I'm having trouble withdrawing LTC from vircurex. Was wondering if this is a known issue and is being worked on?
[9:55:22 AM] Vircurex Support: Yes, we are very aware of this problem and it is being fixed ASAP. Smiley
[9:56:41 AM] larfingshnew: Thank you very much! I've been posting about this issue on bitcoin talk and the people there would really appreciate an update as soon as they could get one. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=342123.20  Glad to hear Vircurex is working on this.

Just got an email response from Vicurex saying they had an issue with queuing and that they had to process each transaction manually. A few minutes later, I checked my account and all the coins were there.

Took too long for a support response, but glad this worked out.  I expect others will get there coins.

Partial faith restored for me anyway.
Vircurex is not a scam.
They just don't have very good customer service.

3 days without communication for this kind of thing is too long.
They have an announcements section but they didn't use it.
They don't have an official twitter.
Just kinda seems like they don't care.

So has everyone gotten their coins back up until this point?

It has been more than 2 days and I still haven't heard from their support.

Does anyone know another way to reach them?

I want to be optimistic here but I'm getting nervous.

I'm pretty sure everyone has their litecoins back .
If you're having trouble with a different kind of coin it's probably a separate problem.

It took 3 full days for me to get my coins back.
Vircurex also seems to fix a lot of these problems on the weekends.

Thanks for the info. I'm still short of the 3 day mark so I'm managing to keep myself from freaking out. If I was planning on selling out at these recent rates I would be pretty pissed off.

Looks like from now on I'll withdraw coins in smaller amounts, this is absurd.

Yeah, that's what I'm doing now.
Even bigger exchanges can have problems like this.

Update:

Vircurex support finally got a hold of me and cancelled the transaction.

Very unhappy about the ordeal, but very happy it was resolved in the end.

Hello coinlleagues,

is that really fixed?
it's my first time i exchanged BTC to LTC today.
Ater that I wanted to send (withdraw?) LTC from Vircurex to my Litecoin wallet on PC.
And there's no option for LTC withdrawing!  Huh

I just wanted to test it, so I try to send very small amount...

yes there is no option to withdraw LTC! You can only create some coupon, but is it of any use? I doubt that would work anyway...

today the options is active again, so I requested LTC withdrawal and I am awaiting approval...

Hey guys, so I just tried to withdraw 249.9 LTC from Vircurex but the transaction seems to have stalled and there is no TrxID. I just emailed support for help. How long has it taken them to fix this problem for others? Very shaken up by this as I really need those coins back...
Any advice or info would be greatly appreciated.

hope my little wallet of coins on Vicurex is ok.  I haven't been on there in a while and I may have forgotten what my code is for my account.  Gonna have a fun time finding that info let me tell you.

UPDATE: PROBLEM FIXED THE NEXT MORNING

I have just received all my 249.9 LTC! My eyes almost popped out of my head! (after reading all the horror stories on here last night I was thinking there was a good chance I might have permanently lost my money)

Utterly amazed and delighted!!!

So it seems Vircurex is not a scam. However, if anyone from Vircurex is reading this I highly recommend considering the following to reassure your user base and attract new users:

1. When people email customerservice@vircurex.com send them an email back straight away confirming their email has been received. (I really did feel left in the dark when I emailed last night, and then I read all the horror stories on here, absolutely bloody horrible, you can't let your customers go though that. Please make some changes so that no one has to experience what I and others have experienced ever again.

2. Have a photo of your office on your website, ideally with an address and contact phone number like Cryptsy does. This would make people feel a lot more secure about depositing coins on your site. I think you could grow your business by many multiples very quickly if you did this.

3. Hire more support staff to reply to emails, perhaps a few from India or the Philippines with good English. Getting fast replies to emails will make people feel a lot more comfortable. These workers can simply just relay updates to people on the progress of their tickets and answer FAQs etc.

4. Be more active on the forums, reply to people who say they're experiencing problems with your site.
