I don't see why bitcoin is more advanced than other cryptos, nor why it's easier or why it could process larger transactions?
There's plenty of alternatives out there, with more functionality, faster, is there not?
I see the only gain is how well distributed Bitcoin is, because no new coin can ever acquire the same kind of distribution, since now everyone is aware of any new crypto that comes out, therefore, people can collect a large amount early on, since people are now always prepared for all the good projects. Compare this with when Bitcoin was created initially, all these years of low value, crashes, people who sold, traded, lost their wallet access etc - the coins are distributed in a way that can never happen again. I believe this is why Bitcoin is #1.

Lets see what will happen in the future. It doesn't mean because bitcoins is the most popular crypto now a days it will last until the end. It depends on the supply needed.

I don't believe that there is any hard and fast rule or any other solid reason for Bitcoin to be the best crypto in the future. It is, in fact, the first to be in the arena and has proven to be a valuable asset over the years. Anyway, there can be and will be some other coins which may come closer to the Bitcoin or sometimes go pass it as well as there's nothing is fixed or guaranteed to be the best in any field or a sector.

Right now there are technologies that are supposed to excel but no one is known or that is also spread like bitcoin, for example if they all stop mining at the same time, the scale will be resolved promptly. Why can not it be one of ten or twenty or fifty? Each coin has a slightly different utility or structure.

the difference is not always good. the changes that some altcoins make is actually making things worse. some designs are in a certain way because that is how they should be and changing it can cause irreparable damage. but altcoins do change those and introduce new flaws in their systems. and that is the main reason for them not being used.

Yes i agree, cryptocurrency like bitcoin can change lives, bitcoin is more than just digital money, its all about equality ,access and its here to reshape the economic fabric of modern society,in bitcoin will surely lead to a better quality of life for all.

I mean there really is NO REASON that bitcoin MUST be the crypto in the future. Though it's the only thing we can go off of now because Bitcoin has been the only Crypto that has MEANT ANYTHING during our time. I know that some people will point to ETH and coins like that, but they've always been (and in my mind) always will be the number 2 to bitcoin. Bitcoin is a revolutionary currency which can be changed and fixed, by the people, if they want to see change in the code (such as the LN, segwit, etc)

We don't NEED altcoins, we can pretty much take all of the good things about other coins and merge it into Bitcoin to make it the way that WE want to see Bitcoin. Some people may not agree with Bitcoin being changed like this, but if people can agree on it then it will be done. We'll see what the future holds though

Can you explain why you think so? It does not need to be dominant. It is "based" on a technology that is unique and out-of-the-box. That is enough for BlockChain to be a pioneer for the future.

If miners stop mining then this is what that will happen. Say we consider three miners in one certain crypto network. The rewards are being distribute among them three proportional to the amount of Hashpower they put in. If two of them stop mining, then all the reward goes to the third person. Thus making mining profitable for the one who owes loyalty to the chain.

As I see it is like this, any exchange currency's value depend on how much that particular currency accepted by the people. in that point of view, there is no any other coin that has won the faith of people. That's why bitcoin has been considered as the king of cryptocoins. but I admit there are some bad sides of bitcoin compared to other new coins. Bitcoins is slower and transaction fee is higher. so you can't get the full usage of the blockchain due to those shortcomings of bitcoin. but yet again still there is no any other coin that is as popular as bitcoin. so bitcoin is the king. we have to admit it.

I believe that bitcoin will continue to be the no.1 cryptocurrency in the future aside from being the first ever cryptocurrency to achieved greater heights and also because of the original blockchain technology that made bitcoin to continue all these years. Due to it's popularity, many ICO's and altcoins were now in the market venturing to join in this crypto era hoping that these coins could also be acknowledge by the investing public.

There's no overwhelming reason why bitcoin will remain the top dog, right now there are arguably superior technologies but none that are as well known or that (as you mentioned) are as well spread as bitcoin is.

I am not sure there are any solid projects that can claim that they are superior to bitcoin with better technology which can scale like visa or paypal, if anyone can claim that they can scale on that magnitude then i will say it is a better technology, other than that bitcoin is the coin.

With regards to the mining pools, you're right that they could collaborate and cause chaos for bitcoin, for example if they all stopped mining at once, but given the way that difficulty scales it would be resolved in time.

It is impossible to think that the mining pools would collaborate to create chaos and put an end to their earning opportunities, so it is out of the question and they wont stop mining even if the mining rewards are reduced, the price would increase accordingly. Check out the increase in hash rate in the past few months and you would understand why.
