I'm sorry but all you can do is wait.  It might take up to 2 weeks.

In the future you must put the transaction fee to at least 0.0001BTC or the miners ignore the small tx fee and treat it as a free transaction.

This is happening now because more and more people are now using Bitcoin and therefore more transactions are happening.

you obviously missed the part about putting enough fees. 1 satoshi = not enough. 0.001 btc = enough.

It is pitch black. You are likely to be eaten by a grue.

Not to nitpick or anything, but I was under the impression 0.0001BTC (3 zeroes after the decimal) was the minimum amount that miner's recognize as enough of a fee to get accelerated confirmations.

By paying 0.001 (2 zeroes), you are over paying on the fee unnecessarily.

Is this erroneous?

Yes. How much fee per kb is taken into account when prioritizing transactions. It's not a simple yes/no fee check.

Did you realize that your suggested 0.001BTC is currently over 75 cents USD per transaction?  The fee seems excessive, especially for small amounts like cups of coffee, or fridge magnets?

Unfortunatelly, bitcoin is not very friendly to sub-cent transactions :-/.
