There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Just curious. 30 coins here It's not too smart to list how many coins you have on a public thread, especially when you have a huge amount like 30. A lot of people will feel you have too many and they don't have enough. Next time set up a poll which people can anonymously respond to.

30 is considered huge? I wouldn't consider someone to be seriously invested in Bitcoin if they had any less than that.

it depends largely on time of entry.
i know people who have more than 10 k. those started 2009 until 2012. i started to buy in 2011, but forgot all about it until march 2013. for 2013ers 10 k is out of reach bigtime. even 1000 is very very hard to do.
for people that are getting in right now 1000 is out of reach. they may aim for 100.
pretty soon, 100 will be out of reach.
on the other hand it does not really matter how many you have. if it keeps rising like it did in the last 4 years, it is just a strong current that lifts the value of your investment violently upwards.
if you will invest 5000 $ in 2014 it will have the same effect as in 2012. it will just keep doubling your investment.

You just need to turn bear at the right time. Beware the to the moon threads and chocho mfs... just sell and profit like you did. Now you have more then doubled your bitcoins and can't wait till the prices rises further with another correction.

Trying to sell at the right time can be difficult. I have found it is much easier to just hold my core position and then take large margin positions during the corrections and then sell them once the correction loses steam, adding the profits to my btc.

Until the correction is actually a stop before the huge upswing and you lose all of the deposit. I find margin trading on bitcoin extremely risky / silly. There's no such thing as free money (*) (*) unless you just hold bitcoins then there is. PS as for OP, 100 times less than I was going to but didn't get.

Just over BTC21,000,000 Started mining with an ASIC in 2007 I have some questions for you as well: 1. Perhaps BTC1 will be worth $100,000 in a year or two. Will you feel safe after you tell the whole world you own BTC30 ($3,000,000)? 2. If you had BTC3000 in 2012 (only a year ago) at $7.50 per BTC, would you feel safe today if you publicly posted this in 2012? 3. Is posting your BTC wealth a good idea? -xalex

When I consider that Bitcoin everything I like (math, programming, economics, anarchism), I heard from it the first time early 2012 and I would have had 100-200€ spare, I have way too less.
I prefer to buy when they are much more expensive (and sell low).

Just curious. 30 coins here As of late last night, 2. I would literally suck dick to revive my Bitcoin wallet of late 2011, early 2012, where there was at times a couple of hundred coins in that wallet, which cost me less in total than the 2 I bought last night. Hell, I would even be pleased to get the 20 back that I sold at $370 just 10 days ago. (I hate myself)

I used them for commerce rather than speculation, which is probably one of the most stupid things I ever did. But life is about mistakes - the key is to learn from them rather than repeat them. Ah misunderstood you so you are superbullish then. But still, just holding BTC is bull enough, don't margin trade. Somebody panics, dumps alot at the bottom, and you can lose your deposit with a spike down.
