Maybe he can use his new bank overlord status to allow some UK bitcoin companies bank accounts and not watch some emerging country take all the Bitcoin related jobs.

Bitcoin: An Idea Worth Spending

Sir Richard is not that up to speed as to what is Bitcoin, let alone how long its been around, stating its a new currency about a year old.

But that's not what I wanted to comment upon prior to viewing the video. With SRB onboard, soon the major online marketing gurus will somehow embrace Bitcoin in their own special way, starting with this one known for his email blasts: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mmOum81dEIc&list=UUt5nvmF4PmVuPsufKVMxGKQ&index=66

Whether a ticket was truly purchased for a gal from Hawaii to go into space, or it's just a marketing ploy, it's good news for the exchange rate of bitcoins.

For people who can afford to invest a little in bitcoins, it’s worth looking into.

I suggest people in the UK open an account with them and quote this if they have banking issues using bitcoin

Bitcoins into space and to the South Pole, all within a month. Who would've thunk it? The only thing left is to drop a Casascius Coin into the Mariana Trench and we're golden.

This is huge.

Richard Branson is a well-respected entrepreneur in the UK, with hundreds of businesses all around the world as part of the "Virgin Group" conglomerate, which includes financial services, mobile phones, radio, retail and many more. Excellent news for Bitcoin.

It's just incredible that someone could have invested as little as $250 a couple of years ago and they could now afford to become a (brief) astronaut!
