I'm looking for a installation tutorial to setup Electrum v3.* on Whonix. Nothing posted on the Electrum website has worked (pip or source install).

This is frowny face, because the previous version worked without issue.

Have you tried the following? https://forums.whonix.org/t/how-to-install-a-actual-electrum-version/4367 The user reported that It's working fine so unless the problem is related to that version specifically, I don't think you will face any issues.

Are you sure you typed this phrase correctly? "sudo pip3 install".

 - you can try to download https://download.electrum.org/3.1.3/Electrum-3.1.3.tar.gz  [using this URL] and run electrum from its root.

If this does not work, try this code Check and download (update) last electrum version, backup wallet. Linux Only it helped a user on Reddit, I bookmarked GitHub URL, but I think the same Linux OS.
