Hi, all 4 of my ant miners would show XXXXXXXXX across the board instead of OOOOOOOs after a few days of running, it still says running at 180GH, slush pool shows it running at 150GH instead of 180GH.

Does anyone know why this happens or if it is actually working? i am confused. It will take a few physical power down and up to get it back to all OOOOOs, then after a few days they turn back into XXXXXXXs.

Kinda frustrating.

When it shows all Xs, I believe that's typically the result of a power problem.  Are you using PSUs of sufficient size and quality?  Are there any problems with your power connections?

I using cooler master silent pro gold certified 1200w to power 2, and 2x 650w bronze certified ocz silencer powering each of the other 2. So don't think power is an issue, but they do at around 60 temperature.

overall it's a very good machine

Yes I think it's a pretty good machine too.

If you do not mind, do you have a link for where you ordered those fans from? I'd like to get a fan for the other end of mine, to get a push pull config.

Are our fans 120mm by 25 mm thick?

I hear there's a firmware bug that can cause that.

Try updating the firmware to the latest.

Don't worry about that, everything run well, its just a indication-error. After a few hour it change back to oooooo. So long it works well, let it  work.

Hi, I am trying to setup the Antminer...at which point does the Antminer's fan start to spin ?  I noticed it sputters, it makes a clicking noise, the fan twitches...but that's about it.  all other lights lit up correctly.  I was able to access login page, and updated the miner's worker creds..and noticed it hanged/lagged on "updating" for over 6 mins. 

any input would be helpful.  thank you

Sounds like it hasn't connected to the internet correctly or the miner configuration details are incorrect. check the miner config 1st and make sure that you have a password set, if the pool does not need on then just put an 'x'. If that still doesn't work then Putty to the Ant IP log in using root/root and see if you can ping something on the Internet.

The stuck at etc/config/cgminer issue is the unit not being able to connect to an NTP server

Not related to the NTP server issue, but the stuck at updating /etc/config/cgminer forever. Have healed two units like this.

The fans are 120mm by 38mm
These are heavy duty fans, the specs say 130CFM, that's a lot!

But I have 4 power supplies powering the 2 S1 units, so I don't really feel like buying 4 of them

Is it ok if I get one, and just measure each of the 4 power supplies one at a time?

thanks guys yeah i think that might be the case, slush still shows it hashing and i am getting paid. So not too big a deal, i do notice one of them went back to all OOOOOs when i refreshed, and this morning all 4 went back to OOOOs again, strange stuff.  Just going to let it run and check my slush payout, as long as that remains consistent i will leave it alone.

Sorry 1 more question, my discarded rate seems very high with slush pool on all 4 antminers. Does anyone know if this is normal?  what does it mean it is discarded, right now i am running around 15-25% Thanks

Question about overclock:
How many volt to BM1380 chip? (1.1v default?)
Is possibile change it?
Or when overclock the volt rise "automatically"?

Assuming very very good dissipation and PSU, is possible try overclock to 425 or 450mhz? (5081 for 425, 5181 for 450, this code are ok for the last batch?)

Last question: reset button also reset frequency default 350mhz?
