Reread my post. You have intructed pistachio that he can find all deatils how to ssh in the first post what is untrue, so can we drop this argue?
I don't talk about the first post of the OC thread, i talk about the first post here. And here is my post, which you read wrong Just follow the LINK (to the Thread about Overclocking) in the First POST (HERE). The Link will bring everybody who want overclock to this THREAD: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=348327.msg3730601#msg3730601I guess you missunderstand my post, never mind. Okay, neither first post of this thread neither of oc thread mention how to ssh eg what software to use under win. Sorry for misunderstanding, but now i think all is cleared Edit @goxed If you read please can you update op in oc thread with putty.exe software and unix editor commands? Woud save some users to find answers and not to read trough pages and pages of any thread.

Have you missed my post #540 on 27.page (just a few prior of this)where i paste instructions from oc thread and that post on 3rd page? Ans still can not drop this? Here, i will post it again just for you:) Please show me where in the first post of the thread link you have posted show you how to ssh into miner and what unix command to use eg ( cd, vim, etc)? Mabe later in that thread it is stated what commands to use, but not in the op. However, i did not find mention of putty aplication and ssh under windows.
Mate, honestly, is this to much for read a full thread where user explain how to OC, instead of ask here? I don't know either how to OC before my fist ant arrive. But before i ask, i try to collect the data which are available already and read as much i can found. Again, in that thread there is not mention on what software to use to ssh under windows or is hidden in 9 pages. You would have a point if putty and commands are in the op( first post), but they are not! Beside, user simple ask what software to use and not how to oc. Okay find it on 3 rd page! 1. First thing to do is get putty. google it download putty.exe 2. Second step is open putty.exe 3. Inside the putty program put the IP of your machine in the hostname field. 4. Click Open 5. accept the prompt to accept a key or connect to the host 6. If the client connects you will get a prompt that says "login as:" . Put your username in that field. default username is "root". 7. pw is "root". hit enter 8. once you logged in successfully type "cd /etc/config" hit enter 9. type "vim asic-freq" hit enter. A terminal text editor should show you the config file. 10. Now pay attention there are at least two different asic-freq configuration files out. If your config has mainly numbers for the "option 'freq_value" such as "option 'freq_value' '0780' #350M" settings then you have the top config goxed posted. if it is "#option 'freq_value' '4d81' #350M" you have the other config. Also note that the default setting does not have # in front of the "#option" setting. The 400 setting on my config is commented out with #. Un-comment that shit. :0 11. top config should have these settings: config 'asic-freq' 'default' #option 'freq_value' '0780' #400M #option 'freq_value' '4d81' #350M #option 'chip_freq' '350' option 'timeout' '36' Other config should have these settings: config 'asic-freq' 'default' option 'freq_value' '4f81' #400M option 'chip_freq' '400' option 'timeout' '35' To modify an area use the arrow keys. Once you are in the text field area hit delete to delete or insert to type text. Once you are done modifying the config tap the escape key. then type ":x" to save and quit if you screwed up the config just type ":q!" to quit without saving. reboot miner after settings are in place.

What you want to say, that i have changed that post now just to respond to you? Yeah righ, showing your true colors! I have answered pinochio much earlier and he was happy, but only then you have shown without any reason?? Beside pinochio asked how to ssh and not step by step guide to oc.and i have answered him, you jus want to fight over nothing. I will drop this, seems to be that you have to have the last to say, its imature. He asked how to ssh under win and i answered putty.exe. he said thanks and then you wrote unecessery post what answer nothing and continue to distort things. You have missed the point of pinochio question. Answer is simple (putty.exe) what I did. On other thread (oc thread) that answer is burried on 3.rd page and you rather opt not to answer but to point to post where answer can not be found and continue to aruge with me? So you do not want to help, but want to debate and judge others? What a waste of time. Go ahead and disturb and distort facts further....i am done.

How do I edit /etc/config/asic-freq ?
It says permission denied.

@alfabitcoin: You get the point NOW what i mean? Help is, to show the way WHERE they gonna get help themself, not to spoon-feed. As you can see now, he ask again, and again and again, instead of read the posted thread. This is time wasting, because then the next ask again, and the next, and...

Whatever man, if you do not want to help to members who are unsecure and where not all details are explained then just dont. Some members need clarification, out of fear they rather ask! That why forum exist you know I have answered him in one post, and debate with you is a lot longer what is a waste of time and space. Hes first question was simple what needed single word answer and not represented issue explained like oc. Hes second was also as such. If op post were enough then i supose this thread would not have 28 pages among other thread where we discuss about antminer setup!

That why forum exist you know Forum exist, because ppl share idea and opinion. That is the main idea behind. But in the last years a new generation of lazy leecher come up, to lazy to read and not willing to spend 1 minute of research or own initiative plus never support anything. If this is why forum exist, the supporter will become extinct. As i say, my help to post the thread where exactly ALL question get answered is much more worth, then wrote here everything again spoon-feeding and step by step. in 5 days the next guy comes across here, not willing to spend more time then 1 min to found what he looking for and so on. The forum is full of garbage question about the same thing again and again. You claim, that this thread here has 28 pages? You got the answer by yourself, this behavior of ask the same questions again instead of reading is the reason! But anyway, as i say'd: "Your intention is honorable, but a bit own initiative is always helpful." Push them to help them self even if a thread about the problem and the solution exist already is much more helpful, based on long-term. We don't need to wasting this thread with more OT. So i am done here about this discussion.

You called me to support lazyness, to change post just in spite to respond to you, and finaly that my itentions are honorable!? Link to oc thread is known and answer of how to ssh under windows is burried in mid thread! How to ssh under winows are no answered on many places such as step by step how to overclock the miner!!! It was a simple question not asked again and again, so just stop to provoce! I have ask you many posts earlier to drop this, but you just keep coming.... Edit Like i said few post prior, go ahead and patrionize with more post.
