well: I get 360 watts on a 120 volt seasonic 750 platinum psu for 350ghz at the k-watt plug
I get 379 watts " " " " " " " " " 375ghz at the k-watt plug
I get 396 -401 watts --------------------------------------------- 400 ghz at the k-watt plug

but that is my most efficient psu my worst is a 1000 watt bronze it gets 423 watts for 400ghz

I dumped a server 750 watt since it did 475 watts for 400ghz

Platinumn or Gold? The Seasonic Gold series uses 650, 750, 850 watts. The Platinum uses 660, 760, 860 watts.

Those are pretty good readings, I was getting 410-415+ watts on a 375 ghz Antminer with a Seasonic platinum 760 and 860, 360-375 watts on stock 350ghz.

is it dangerous use 600 wat for the miner because little then stop working also if i use wifi how i can acess because i affraid loose the ip

Connected wia wifi. With antenna Grin

Sometimes connection is lost, after 2-5 minutes all is ok, on PC wifi connection is stable and good. What can it be? And how i can go to ant page if it`s wifi connected? I mean 192.168.1.99 for example - is not working. If I go to IP, that router gives to ant wifi connection - also can`t go to page.

it is the platinum. may be the 760 not the 750 I have an antec 750 platinum.

2 watts per gh at the k watt plug for the platinum's . What I have found is each s-1

I used varies a bit I have one machine that runs great at 1 setting 350 freq it will do 343 watts on the platinum gets 1 HW a day which is really low. but this machine is a dog on any other freq.

Hey

I have an issue with an Antminer S1!

i bought 3 of them together, and had been running them successfully for 2 weeks. Upon a routine restart, one of them stopped mining.
Using 2 supplies for the blades, both Cooler Master CM 350 Plus. The other two are working perfectly.

Have tried changing and verifying all the settings including the NTP servers, using google DNS servers, different mining pools, different power supplies, using only one blade, reconnecting the wiring from the blades, have also performed a hard reset, changed my time zone to the appropriate one but nothing is working. It powers up, control board shows both the green lights and the red light, however no lights come on the blades. I can login via the web GUI and also using SSH. I have also pinged via the device and network connection is good. Also the device status page shows nothing in the ASIC area!

I have tried every freaking thing possible, but this wont work! I am attaching the logs, any help would be appreciated!
P.S. I think its not recognizing the blades as kernel log shows USB device read error!

I got a new Antminer from Bitmain but I am having trouble. When I plug it in, chain 1 gives me a solid green light on the board. It goes out after 30 seconds or so. I have never noticed this on any other board before. When it starts hashing, only chain 2 is working. Chain 1 says 0 asics. I tried swapping the power cables from chain 2 with chain 1 since I know it works. But then, chain 2 still works and chain 1 does not. I have checked all the ribbon connections on chain 1 and they seem in place. I have shut it down and rebooted a few times. I shut it down and waited 20 minutes and still a no go....

Any clue as to what may be going on???

Are you getting anything else at the end of the Kernel Log?

From your status line, looks like your blades are not detected (or you did not wait long enough, as this screen capture is after 1m)
Could be interconnecting cables to the blades, power supplie(s), corrupt firmware?

Why dont you do hard reset? then log to 192.168.1.99 and set wan to dhcp, did you try this already?

just found out how to reset with that little button. did it and now have a reset miner. now it's time to really work on setting it up correctly and make sure I am mining without worry.

Are you getting anything else at the end of the Kernel Log?

From your status line, looks like your blades are not detected (or you did not wait long enough, as this screen capture is after 1m)
Could be interconnecting cables to the blades, power supplie(s), corrupt firmware?

Waited for more than a hour, still no further lines appear in Kernel Log. Checked interconnecting cables as well as power supply! Have not done anything to the firmware. I thought a hard reset would rectify any firmware related issues! I also think the blades are not being detected! Any further ideas?

Hi guys,

I've put off commenting here seeking for help until I had tried troubleshooting the problem myself. I've been trying to find out what's wrong with my setup for a few days now but have had no luck.

I've been having trouble setting up my Antminer S1. I've followed the tutorial posted here but still nothing.

I'll provide as much information that I think is relevant in the hopes that someone can help me.

I have 1 miner which is being powered by a 'PowerCool X-Viper 450W 80+' which I purchased from eBuyer. The miner is hooked up to one cable with an 8pin plugged into the PSU which splits off into two 6 pin cables which are plugged into the miner. After plugging everything in and following the tutorial I switch on the PSU, the fan starts up (it's pretty loud), but no lights come on as the tutorial says should.

The network cable runs to my switch box (two cables are connected to the switch, 1 to the miner and 1 to my PC) an additional cable then runs from the switch, downstairs to my living room where my broadband router is. I've tried multiple network cables and still nothing happens so it's not a faulty cable problem.

When I follow the network setup instruction provided in the tutorial I lose internet access and I cannot connect to my miner. My miner address is 192.169.1.99 if that's any help.

If anyone needs any additional information to try and help me I'd be more than happy to provide it.

Any help is greatly appreciated and thanks in advance.

Have you tried changing to a different power supply?
I mean for it to have no lights I would be guessing that the thing is not completely turned on hence you can not access it
also try doing a factory reset on it by pressing the very tiny little button on the board that has the Ethernet connection

Each PCIE connection on the S1 miner requires a separate cable, try it that way also. (no splitters)

A hard reset will only fix configuration issues, but if the application is corrupt, that would not help. If you have a few S1's you could do some swapping between them, to try and isolate the problem. Another area that you may want to explore is your power supply. It's unclear from your post how you power this Ant - do you use a single Cooler Master CM 350 Plus? (that maybe marginal), or two of these (one per blade)? Some web sites claim that it is a 2 rail power supply, however others http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/Cooler-Master-Elite-Power-350-W-Power-Supply-Review/1184/6 claim that it is really a single rail (both rails "hard joined"). Assuming that you are using 2 Cooler Master CM 350 Plus PSUs, one per blade, this should be enough (23A x 12V=276W per blade > 360/2=180W for nominal hash rate). Are you using some mechanism to turn both PSUs on simultaneously? Try swapping power supplies between good Ants and the sick one. You could also try running it with a single blade. If your firmware is stuffed (probably due to 'brownout condition' with a marginal power supply, then you might need to re-flash it (hopefully the basic part of your controller is still alive and capable of being re-flashed). You can download the latest firmware from Bitmain's web site (I would try to swap controller boards first to support the 'bad firmware' idea).

This happened to me no lights, fan came on instantly when turned on, was able to connect to it, set it up, pools said alive but hash rate was zero! I had someone help me ( this person has a mining farm) He confirmed for me s1 was faulty, I contacted Bitmain they asked me to disassemble miner and send back parts, I complied sent back two hashing boards one controller board and voluntarily sent the connecting ribbons. Two weeks later received s1 back only to find they've sent back my old hashing boards and controller complete with thermal paste minus connecting ribbons ( 2 8pin and 1 4pin ). You can guess how I feel right now.
