Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.

Probably a very (very, very) low return. But you should be carefully when mining with a laptop, because they tend to overheat.

IMO not worth the risk.
All previous versions of currency will no longer be supported as of this update
