I dislike a forum that's too "open" in it's design.
Would it be possible to alternate shades per row? ie. uneven rows = white, even rows = light grey? That makes for much easier reading, at least to me.

@c-f-b: if I believed my passphrase was weak and wanted to move to a stronger one, I could easily move my funds, but how do I move my aliases?

U can't do that until it's approved by the stakeholders and implemented by developers.

Need to either petition its development on this/another forum, or wait for VS to be implemented and then request a vote for it there.

Just updated to 5.0, my not very technical impression of the client is that it seems a lot smoother and faster, used the old blockchain from 4.9e (which I haven't had to throw away and reload since 4.8 ) and it loaded very quickly.

I'm dumbfounded there still isn't better synchronization in this matter. after what happened a few days ago.
My motto now is, check the hash minimum, obviously, and then wait till a lot of other people have installed and confirmed it's working. hah

I asked this awhile back on nextcoin.org

Isn't it possible for someone to create a dubious client similar to the one I discovered a few days ago, and others had the misfortune of installing too, hacking into a webpage, or having a rogue forum host, creating a link to that bad client, and just replace the hash written on the page to coincide with the dubious client??
Sorry if i'm not understanding it correctly perhaps the correct hash is backed by something in the blockchain, or should be?
Otherwise this is possible?
