What kind of project leader suddenly goes silent and abandons his creation like this?  Huh

If you want mass adoption, you can't ask people to "follow my advice" to not lose coin.

This is a special advice for exchange owners. He ought to follow it.

User experience is another story that will end when one of client developers implement a checksum. We could continue the discussion after u point me to that place in Bitcoin protocol where checksum is used.

People will not go on the forum to check your post, so it need to safe, the more possible.

Checksum !

Guys guys, calm down. This way of doing transfers is more exciting. You think James Bond would ask for checksums on a closed-source payment system? No way!

How many transactions per day do you suppose MtGox or bitstamp do?  Not the volume in BTC or USD, but how many transactions?

I know I said it before, but let me repeat this again, now without any guilt:

If I lose your money – tough luck! Go ask Come-from-Beyond why there are no checksums in the system.

I wash my hands.

How old are you? Smiley This is not the way to operate the exchange.

It's just his OCD talking - that's why he is always so paranoid and frightened. So it gladly isn't the personality issue.

U should follow my advice how to conduct payments and u'll be safe.

I did this for sending money, however sometimes I get "unknown transaction" errors. I then send the money again, HOWEVER, sometimes the money did go through, so I send a double payment. what should i do to prevent this?

I think he has still been rolling out the core codes. There are still many works to be done until his initial promises are fulfilled.

Ok, I'll tell u. We have plans that will make CRC on server side unnecessary. Can't tell u more right now.

Or. You 3 are simply so terrified by the cost of the change, your brain starts malfunctioning when it comes to this issue.

I see you keep saying that since transaction is/will be signed on the client, no checksums are needed and this is bullshit!

This is not even a bias, it's a full-blown delusion.

I don't know what to do here and how to get through. We need a professional shrink.

what is so hard in implementing a check in your automated payout if the given address is known to the blockchain?
that should be sufficient, no?

I only have a little bit of NXT but the concept of 'sender beware' because your money could disappear forever through the cryptographic equivalent of an event horizon is scary so I am very careful...

Still if you have an exchange with lots of NXT I can imagine I would get very upset if this happened and I had to deal with affected customers and or bear the costs...

Its an emotive issue that needs dealing with - both this message and the response are not helping give confidence to those of us who would like to get more NXT, have more accessible exchanges and start using it.

What sort of feedback have you had from BTC-e and cryptsy about listing this? has anyone tried bribing or would be interested in setting up a bribe pool?

I got no reply on my question regarding account to send the reward to. Could u contact the owner and ask if he needs 20K for the 3rd place in Exchange category?

I let him know to check his PM. He is traveling and in meetings a lot. You can always send it to the peercover acct 2269220637361284198
