Best way to fight global "warming" is to stop breathing... so much CO2 production every second... Wink While green plants love it.
Just let's stay honest. POS is just more effective not carbon free. Enough of this ecomaddness everywhere already.

If one can not confer upon another a right which he does not himself first possess, by what means does the state derive the right to engage in behaviors from which the public is prohibited?

I don't understand wtf you are talking about? Energy conservation is infact a real issue.
Global warming is accepted by every reputable scientist in the entire Universe, why should we not use that oppourtunity to highlight yet another benefit of NXT?

Wut? GW is a proved fake. Even pro-global-warming "scientists" already agreed to change its name to "global climate change" since everyone sees that it's total crap. There were always periods of global warming and global cooling and they will always be. It has nothing to do with us. Especially with mining.

Someone is this thread is claiming that: P > p
where P means the probability of forging to put all Nxt into one acount,
p means the probability of forging to split Nxt to 2 accounts.

Could you confirm whether this is correct?

If it's true, it's absolutely unfair. The large holders will have much more forge chances than they should be.

It isn't. Cfb said so. Many times.

What Cfb said is the other way, p will not be larger than P.

Now someone is argue P is larger than p, in promoting his pool forging.

Exactly as you said - promoting his pool forging

The biggest advantage of PoS over PoW is that the blockchain is secured by the people and not by the entity that has the most hashes.  Once you own a certain percentage of Nxt, you always provide that same percentage of security for the network.  This is not true with PoW.  In PoW, if you have 0.1% of the hash power today, you won't necessarily have 0.1% of the hash power / security tomorrow.  An unwanted entity can overpower all the miners and take over the chain.  Nxt solves this problem and ensures that the security of the network remains with the people.

Could not find in FAQ/wiki, how fast are NXT transactions? I've purchased some coins from dgex, but seems they are doing it manually, so I've tried to use faucet http://nxtra.org/faucet/

But account shows 0 balance, and the blockchain says:

So, what's happening? Are NXT transactions slower then even bitcoin ones?  Shocked

The faucet is also not automatic: wesley uses a cron job on his server to process all of the transactions that are queued.  He's posted the source code for his faucet, but I don't know how often his cron job runs.

I checked the faucet account, and your transaction has not actually been SENT yet.

Once it has been sent, you'll get it in under a minute (as soon as the next block is generated).  At current transaction volumes, there's no reason for a delay.
