my guy is still coding his webshop modules for Nxt.
I had no news, but the first module should be ready this week
Will be for woocommerce in WP.

Oh yeah, thanks, need to make an exception for forging, as far as I know this DOES require you send your password to the server.. (Because it needs to be able to sign the generated block).

Hmm... I wonder if we could do anything to improve that situation (maybe via a websocket?).

If we are going to have "trustless" then it would be best if it *was trustless* (i.e. no exception).

Thanks for this list
woocommerce is first as a test case and because it also is easy to integrate.
From that, we will need to diversify, but should be easier as it's basically an adaptation of the same principle.
I am looking forward to the mail he is going to send me. Been waiting for this thing for a while now

James, there's more issues than nodecoin and that's what's being referenced here.  Salsa and others are pushing to rent out space in parallel blockchains to store data/files/entire websites and this has nothing to do with nodecoin and everything to do with creating bloated blockchains.  

dude who cares if parallel blockchains are bloated. if you dont like it than dont run them!

I don't believe that approach would increase the outside world's confidence in NXT as a reliable 2.0 financial services cryptocurrency.

Is there a technical reason why an acct without NXT cannot receive asset via transferAsset?

Does that account exist on the blockchain?

The auth token should be able to be signed locally, right? Since the auth token contains the hash of both the secret phrase and server, this should prove ownership of the account...

Perhaps this can be a feature integrated in the NXT core? And only allow auth tokens generated recently to start forging, so old ones can't be abused.

how much do you pay per hour? can the devs have contracts? why don't you post a proper job description with approximations for the number of hours needed etc?

"we are hiring, there are java bounties, send emails to X,Y" is  not OK.

Good point!! Are there any people working on NXT who don't have a big enough stake to stay motivated? If there are we need to help them get a big stake. Maybe give them an option to buy in at a fixed price down the track.

BTW - I tried "Add Contact" (to an unused address) and now I am just stuck on that dialog (Submitting button disabled and nothing responds).

Agreed, James is a critical guy for NXT and needs to have enough incentive to stay super motivated, like he has been so far.

why dont you port NXT to C++ and create a Bitcoin-like multiplatform desktop wallet for it , featuring COLD STORAGE of that cNXT

The masses will come to this quicker than one can see.

Nxt's java and utterly uncomfortable clients have been making many people disregard it, UNFORTUNATELY

Nxt is doomed to fail because it attracts almost nobody new -- which is why it cant go to the next level. it are 98% the same people in this community. no wide adoption at all,  because it is extremely user unfriendly compared to Bitcoin and co. it completely lacks the feeling of easy-going out of the box for most people.

we all know this, even CfB does but he doesnt care cuz hes a terminal geek and I respect that
