Ok... trivial question... so one transfers NXT to a new account just to strengthen passphrase... how long until he/she starts forging again?
Does deadline have something to do with it? It has been 10 hours since the transfer, 343 confirmations, but no timer has appeared.
...the only thing I could think of is the 24 hour deadline...

Close your account and browser, restart the client, wait for the block files to stop growing, open your account.

EDIT: ...and wait for 1440 confirms, right.

I would like to start to implement something that is why I would need functionality to send a message with the payment. Is that feasible ASAP, please?

Does NXT allow to send a message similarly as bitcoin?

No. This planned to be added later.

OK, got the go-ahead from our generous donator, the nxt faucet now gives a random amount of 1 to a maximum of 5 coins per user.

Try it out if you haven't yet: http://nxtra.org/faucet/

this guy can´t be serious...

http://87.230.14.1/nxt/nxt.cgi?action=3000&acc=14335468932354642520

You have 50M and go for the 5 Nxt from the faucet?
I know you are reading this.

I've just enabled it so that anyone above 1,000,000 will not receive any coins. (Perhaps that is even too high).

Anyway, original founder, please consider donating a million or so to the faucet. That way I can give out 1,000 nxt to everyone.

You should change it to 10 instead of 1,000,000

ps: addresses are not validated

I've changed it to 10,000.

Btw, how does one validate addresses? CFB? Just look for the right length or something?

If any unclaimed coins left after 3rd of Jan, ur faucet will get some of them, but u should add CAPTCHA.

Thank you! Working on that now =)

That'd leave many unsatisfied users who have already got their 1 nxt  Cheesy

I'd reset it so everyone can try once more :-)

So indeed, "5", or "347" are valid. and 18446744073709551616 is the max account? (18 quintillion?)

Don't have enough fingers to make sure, but I believe we can't get "6" if we subtract "1" from an even number...

+1 major stakeholders should definitely be donating a few M to the faucet.

While I can't stand the bellyaching about the founders/stakeholders, the lack of 'parity' in forging etc etc, a 1k faucet would go a long way in the public image department (and yet, people would still find angles to bitch that Tom's slice is still bigger than both Dick and Jane's combined).
