If one can not confer upon another a right which he does not himself first possess, by what means does the state derive the right to engage in behaviors from which the public is prohibited?

Shouldn't James's darkNXT be treated the same as "anti-coins"?

If yes... once the exact DarkNXT amount is known...we should remove them from total Nxt coinbase.

Both DarkNXT & "anti-coins" are gone forever (at the moment)

The active orderbook on ripple is in NXT/XRP for now. Wow over 250,000 NXT active! The spread is bid 2.7, ask 2.8 XRP per NXT. Currently BTC is right around 30000 XRP, so 3 XRP = ~.0001 BTC

I insist that you urge people to place their Bids/Asks at Peercover's NXT/BTC gateway...

Someone write a tutorial or a link to it. I am interested.

Will take me a while to climb up again, But where is a will, there is a way...

Is there anything a normal end user can see of Transparent Mining? Does it has any visible benefits? How can I see if it was really implemented? Thank you for your help guys!

I'll add API calls later.

Is there anyway to calculate total amount of darkNXT in existence?

Walk the blockchain, adding up the balances of accounts that don't have an assigned public key?
Is there a API Call for this?

Is there a max limit to block size similar to Bitcoin's 1Mb? Is it possible for the forging node to add crap data into the block to flood the network?

32KB

Anti-coins did, darkNXT can be recovered.

Having a good NXT/XRP order book makes it more likely that people can find a good conversion path when paying in NXT to a recipient desiring some other arbitrary currency. XRP is the most highly traded bridge currency on Ripple, and having fewer hops when sending payments at market rate is a good thing.

Don't forget that you can spend your NXT via the bitcoin bridge simply by entering a bitcoin address as the recipient on the send page. You then just select the currency that you want to pay with (NXT) and a few seconds later the BTC will get transferred on the blockchain.

It's look efficient but I still don;t like this idea...doing the above will only inflate Ripple's numbers....it does not help Nxt in the long run and starts a dangerous habit.

Don't forget... this discussion was in the middle of the dgex drama and most people were NOT thinking clearly.

It felt to me that the Dgex situation was being used/manipulated to further Ripples aims and not HELP Nxt.  The benefits to Nxt were short term, shortsighted and potentially harmful.

Which really turned me off from the idea.

Quick post:

I will give the remaining of the 30K giveaway funds I manage to maco for his project - 15K beforehand and 15K after he finished and the community is satisfied.

The rest posters at the old giveaway thread (not the one Anon manages) will be paid from my pocket. Just give me some time guys cause I run like the coyote atm!

I try to persuade my dev team to post here their CVs for transparency - it seems they don't have any anonymity issues but they are making some second thoughts if this is good for them.
They are not Google's or Microsoft's engineers but they are very professional and in any case who gives a shit about these NSA's show cases...

Yeah, Ripple is a competitor, why use it to trade NXT. Besides, if someone wanted to diversify into Ripple, it's enormously overvalued, at least relatively, to NXT, and I suspect, artificially overvalued, since a lot of it is still being held by one company. I'd conclude, nothing to see here, move along Smiley

klee, thanks a bunch for being supportive. NXTers, we are looking for feedback.

Do you believe a total of 500,000 NXT bounty would be recommended for an ALL-in-one Info Central App?

What will this app give NXTers?
Inside the app, users will receive updates in real-time for any latest news/press,
latest discussions about NXT via reddit/official threads/forums, videos across
our networks supporting NXT, and much more...

Here is where it gets interesting... we save users time by having them access
everything (EXCEPT a wallet/mining function) via their mobile phone.
Maybe an Online Wallet is good enough... That is for later discussions.

We will bring in Mining information/articles, tutorials, exchanges,
stats/charts, marketplaces, businesses, payment processors and
much more will be added as 'resources' within the app so users
will have access to this content at anytime they want.

Those who donate will have early access to the app (Android-Google Play markets).

Here is a little update with my progress thus far... This is going to happen, and I expect to
grow NXT with this app for users to have More Access at their finger tips... with no hassle.

Read the FULL Development Thread here https://nextcoin.org/index.php/topic,1767.0.html
