I am just thinking out loud about how we can get Nxt more fair and better.

I currently hold 7288 NXT. I just purchased 1500 more ($70 USD). I'd love to have 30k by April 3.

There are two ways to be fair:

1. Buy your NXT
2. Work/earn your NXT

That 1500 NXT I purchased? I could afford it because I signed up for an extra shift where I work. That's fair.

I am more than open to anything. I just want to make it easier for newcomers to get along with nxt as it is very complicated now to start and the homapges (with due respect to all people working on nxt related sites) are far too complicated and the new users are overwhelmed by the way too much information popping up at the homapages. I want to grant an overview and a guide into the world of nxt
I am ready to invest from my own pocket and will do it with an "offline" graphic designer if there are no designers around here.

Not a fan of current design of nxtcrypto.org though - we have this huge banner that takes up prime estate, and basically serves no purpose. It has an image of a coin on fire (forging)? and then some other images that do not link anywhere. That's just my personal opinion, the info on nxtcrypto.org is top notch, but the top section is just wasted space. (No offense, the images are beautifully designed).

For those of you who want to test NXT Solaris on the testnet and don't wanto to wait 2 hours for the blockchain to download:

Quit NXT Solaris, then put the files in the archive above into the "data" subfolder, overwiting the existing files. Start again and you should have all blocks except for the last 2 hours.

Make sure you use a seperate NTX Solaris installation for testnet!

I have registered startnxt.com (and startnxt.net) and would like to create a landing page! I am looking for a designer who will help me to create a simple, but sexy landing page for new users. We have a few clients (including the web client of wesleyh!), a few functions (aliases, AE, transparent forging), two forums and a few other nxt homepages with different onformationsets which needs to be introduced to new Nxters.

The homepages we currently have are not so userfreiendly and contain too much information for Avarage Joe. The focus needs to be on the graphics, not on the information, as this page would only work as a landing page from where the user can navigate to other pages where he can have access to more detailed infos.

I too have thought this is very important and have been considering registering new2nxt.com as the jump page.  If you can get this implemented in the next 2 weeks I would like to get it on biz cards to hand out at the Texas conference.

I'm doing this already with BitVenturer. 

Count me in on this effort as my full-time input on NXT between now and the Texas conference.  This is of critical importance in bringing new users into the fold.   I will assist in generating text / identifying URLS etc. but unfortunately my web design skills are non-existent.  I just checked and the new2nxt.com/net/org domain names are all wide open.  I personally would really prefer this to startnxt - mcjavar, what do you think about this?  Passion/BV - where is a sample of your card design? 

Will deliver on sunday. It will be made with bootstrap, similiar to bitcoin.org, very simple yet beautiful. We still need to check the financings..

But we definitely need help with the english textes, russian and german is no problem.

bitcoin.org has too much text for me. I would prefer more graphics and less texts.

Maybe we are working on different sites then. Ours will be the bitcoin.org of Nxt.

Is there an effort to make the overall look and feel the same?

The stuff that is out there today is a collection of styles/graphics/texts that are none coherent whatsoever. A bit of a mishmash.

@tipping bot bounty. I know You Guys are pretty stoked to see the reddit bot in action. and i don't want to be a downer. but i really only want to give him a partial bounty when he releases the source. 

we need the bot to handle Offchain tipping and fractional Nxt tipping. i also know that this is way harder to implement, but it was a requirement for the bounty as i always stated it should be like the doge tipping bot.

i hope you guys understand my point.

I had already registered nxtstarter.net and nxtstarter.de for a potential nxt-kickstarter project, but have no time at the moment, to work on that. So I could redirect those to startnxt if needed.

BTW thanks to all client developers...super great work so far. I hope that the bounty will not only go to a single client but can be split up to maybe the 2-3 best ones...

With all those beautiful clients online, wouldn't it be time to start promoting this aspect? Many people were skeptical in the beginning due to missing clients, but this problem is apparently gone now - however, it doesn't help, if Average Joe does not find out about it because he/she does not surf on this forum.

How could we promote the new clients? Big banners @ mynxt.info, nxtcrypto.org etc?
