Thanks a lot for the help. Seems as though I am not meant to do this though. No luck with the link. It did open in command prompt instead of notepad though, but the client still didn't open. Thanks a lot anyway.

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Just to let you guys know that we now have a 3rd "use case" for the AT prototype which is a "Crowdfunding Agent" (see http://ciyam.org/nxt for the AT docs). So what does it do? Basically it means you won't need to use a "website" like Kickstarter or the like at all - you will be just able to create an AT for your project then people will be able to send funds to it which will be refunded if it doesn't meet its funding target by the target time. Of course it doesn't give you any guarantees about the project itself (and I don't think most "crowd funding" websites do either) but it absolutely guarantees the account where the funds will go if the target is met as well as the refunding if the target isn't met. One more middle-man gone! (sorry in advance to all investors in platforms like Kickstarter)

agreed, is there pressure to release this source? Or are you asking for the release to gain a bit of help jean luc if its the latter then heck go for it. But if its just to please the like of fc etc then leave it until april as planned.
There is no pressure, I was just putting it up for discussion. I don't feel I need help, yet, because many of my changes are still so fundamental that I am changing code all over the place and this type of work will be difficult to coordinate when there are many developers. CfB has to re-read the code and figure it out again every time I make some drastic refactoring like the last one. But eventually the code will stabilize and it will be possible to have several developers contributing at the same time. I also don't want to slow down the developers of clients and installers who want to peek into the source. Should we create a poll and vote for it... @J-L...thx for the 0.8 release, mate. Just skimmed the changelog but it looks impressive. Going to upgrade one of my nodes soonish.... Got a lot of stuff I want to say, but I'll stick to source code and FC/NXTclones... for the moment: I say release the code whenever. Having it fully open will help any devs who want to get on board with NXT, and give NXT brownie points for being so open and transparent. Keeping it to ourselves for another month will allow NXT to be attacked on the grounds of "If they won't release the code, what are they hiding?" Though I think that the NXT=scam argument is pretty much dead now, trolls will still take any chance they can get to attack NXT, and we shouldn't let them have this one. On the subject of trolls: dont let the FCs and nex wind u up. The FCs seem to be one lonely dude with a lot of hats, and no real talent apart from lying. We could tattoo the entire source code on his body and he still wouldn't be able to do much with it, except carry on as he's doing right now. Not serious competition, might be bad publicity by (loose) association. Anyone else in the copy cat biz is welcome to the code, IMHO Legitimate efforts will be helped, scammers will scam anyway with or without the code. Mr Burns said it best......

all of us,please come here vote for Nxt to let the btc38(an exchange platform of China) add Nxt to their database. http://www.coin38.org/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=1672It is a good chance for Nxt promotion. Nxt is on the 18 floor. edit:new user need to change the avatar first. TKS. +1 on this. btc38 is a BIG DEAL in China. It would be as big as getting on Cryptsy. Access the link in Chrome for automatic English translation.

There was a link to description how to process deposits/withdrawals (in Wiki IIRC). That info is not correct and should be edited.

But this would be a killer automation.

SWARM NEEDEDHere is the reddit post, please everyone sign up at Bittrex. Hello NXT community,
I solicited feedback on another thread about which coins we should support on our exchange before our public launch. NXT was overwhelmingly recommended.
Before we make the final decision, we're providing a special invite code for NXT users to experience our site first hand. Go to https://bittrex.com/Account/Register and use SUPPORT_NXT as the invite code. This gets you past the invite code queue. Place some trades, enabled 2FA, or try any of our other features to help us stress the site before the final launch. If you find a bug, we're handing out bug bounties as well. Having a great exchange helps us but also helps the NXT community.
If we get 100 signs ups using that code and active on our site, we'll add NXT before our public launch.
Please let me know if you have any questions or feedback, Bill Signed up Everyone remember to add SUPPORT_NXT as the invite code so we get NXT added Signed up and sealed, looks like a good exchange, so git yr asses over there...... Creating a swarm for this and btc38.

I say stick to BCNext's original plan April. What if he knows something timing wise none of us don't because his brain is wired into the universe
differently than ours?

I spoke to John over at Songs of Love last night for a bit, great conversation. We're still shooting for that $10k mark, even if we don't make it, we'll still be a part of the fund raiser in LA. Bottom line, there will be a lot of press there and a perfect opportunity to grab quite a bit of footage for future promotional material for Nxt. I'm looking this week into the possibility of heading that heading that way with Matt Nikel. Matt and I did a solid job in Miami at the Bitcoin Conference, I feel we would get similar results. We would hit every newspaper, every tv station etc...
I'm also working with John this week on some type of joint press release about Nxt's involvement to help the children. As soon as that information comes my way, I'll also forward it to the marketing department.
Let's keep the charity drive going!

Can someone send me some TestNXT? I assume this is regular NXt without the value, just to test out your wallet? I want to trade 2 BTC to NXT, but I still have not successfully delivered any NXT to my wallet. Thanks!
