Another note: in most of websites we see nxtcoin or nextcoin. Rarely just Nxt or Next, reserved for us nxters apparently. This will get more and more confusing as it goes - at some point we need to clarify and make decisions (already done for "Nxt" I believe), and communicate to every website where our community is mentioned.

Nxt is an ecosystem, yes.. We have Nxt messaging, Nxt asset exchange, but also just Nxt coin. I don't see what's wrong with that.

  I understand that NXT is bigger than the market price and bigger than a few mentions on podcasts.

 I understand that NXT can radically change the way the global economy works, cut out the fat cats and the government and let people trade freely and affordably amongst themselves.

 BUT NXT needs help it get there!

 I live in New York City, and I understand marketing with no budget. I have worked and managed in Michelin listed restaurants for almost 10 years now, and understand how to get the word out.

 I want to create awareness based on features and functions, not by following what DOGE did, podcasts, or hoping our Memes make it big on Reddit.

 I have connections with real honest to goodness Wall Street bankers, not that they are honest or good... I even sold one $10 worth of NXT at a holiday party!

 I am currently involved with the NXTopia project, creating a roleplay style sandbox MMO where you can buy, sell, and CREATE items in NXT. We have a great team and think this is going to be huge.

 I have been in NXT since mid-december, through the DDoS, past the Alias Auction, and into the future. I went all in on NXT and currently personally hold 340,000 that I have purchased, earned from bounties, and traded from LTC mining.

If you can shoot some awesome screenshots of the AE on a client that'd be great. Put the pictures underneath the video.

Could you remove the text "Nxt developers are.....Live date not determined"?

Lift the countdown and video a little up, so the video is not cut in half when you open the website (see screenshot). That would look better.  

For the screenshots of a client I would make a small/medium horizontal smooth line under the video and put 2 or 3 screenshot next to each other.

Maybe it's also a good idea to add http://www.nxtclients.org/ somewhere

Me either. From that perspective nxtcoin totally makes sense, I agree. I still think there is some confusion between nextcoin and nxtcoin. Surely this is not a big deal, but maybe an educational bounty to formalise and list the naming conventions in an official manner would not be that bad.

OK, so the "e" doesn't necessarily stand for experimental...
atm 0.8.5 is experimental and we should test it on test network (this corresponds to what is displayed on update.html)...
but, new and inexperienced users should still be pointed to the 0.7.6 download?

I don't know. The 0.7.6 will no longer be maintained, 0.8.5 has bugfixes, but also new features relative to 0.8.3, so it may have other bugs.

We need a QA team even more than we need java developers. There is only so much testing that I can do myself. Even when we have unit tests one day, we will still need functional testing. At the end, it should be the QA team that declares a release stable.

The Nxt is a brilliant product, and support multi-language and easy deploy will make it better, yes there are many third-part "easy use" client, but a one-click setup client is good to see on official website:), you know 80% people in this world has no linux experience even bat file on windows .

About multi-language, I see languages are hardcode in html file, is it possible to support multi-language in future version? I can help on Chinese translation:)

I think there needs to be someone assigned to newb outreach. I can only imagine what it would be like for someone with only basic computer knowledge trying to stay up to date with the updates, editing batch files, troubleshooting, etc. Hopefully the new Marketing person will allocate some funds towards this end. By the way, I voted for brooklynbtc for marketing comittee as he seems like someone who recognizes this problem and will address it.

I haven't touched Java for years (I prefer Python/JS nowdays), but I can wear my "power user" suit and set up / maintain a Gateway, as well as test the network.

So has anyone researched the potential regulatory problems that we have for Asset Exchange and/or Cross Chain Transactions? That is, do we run into issues in the US for being a MSB, and do we need to do KYC and AML stuff.

I'd be willing to do the research and draft up a whitepaper if people would find that helpful or informative. My hope is that we can find a loophole that doesn't kill AE before it ever takes off, and the whitepaper would be the community's position on the issue(s).
