Instant Transactions can't work without TF (at least part of its functions), so I'm going to add some TF features. I've already added API that lets to get list of next forgers. Next step is adding a special type of transaction that announces IPs for direct communication with the forgers (to get blocks, to send transactions).

up of talented people who can get things done.

If you want to buy into Emule's playing on your fears, you can. He's very good at that, and a skilled thermometer of where the communities' fears are: that we actually have jack shit, that we will fail, that all your investments will be worthless, that we will be taken down by hoarders, that we will be left standing out in the cold and laughed at.

These are all fears, and people like him are extremely skillful at playing on that. As said: feel free to agree with him. All things he says MAY come to pass. Let's be honest about that. MAY!

Great job on getting that investor involved Damelon! This is what we need.

But why do you lump the concerns of the community together with a troll? As far as I can see noone really pays attention to Emule. The concerns we have come from rational analysis of the situation and Emule tends to just echo it.
I don't think it's fair to the NXTers to claim that they are brainwashed or scared into something by this troll that noone even responds to anymore.

I didn't checked yet. For sure I bought two. In worst scenario, I will own 4 Cheesy.

Why 4?

If I am not mistaken
you are mistaken

I do know for sure that they are the same account numbers. There is no mistake in that.

10715382765594435905 is bter.

If this is Bter, does that mean the thief sent my NXT to his BTER account?

Is it possible to contact BTER to freeze this particular account? someone please advise??

If its an exchange at least there's some hope, or not..

Can someone answer,at least to say it is irrelevant pls??

1- After buying an asset,i saw the option to transfer it to someone. But in there, there is no option to charge any Nxt for it.

So if i want to sell a determined asset,to someone i know, and fix the price privately,do i have to put it in the general AE(risking someone else buys it),or can it be done privately somehow?

I miss in the transfer window, somewhere to put for how much Nxt i want to send it to that account(optional).Or am i missing something?

If some one could cross check the accused thief's account number with the known Bter account number and make sure I am seeing things straight....I maybe seeing something that is not the same as being the same.

Jerical13: there is a thief who constanlty steals all money from accounts with small passwors. Last time he stole 400k. Then he decided to send 8k to his bter account.

You're not missing anything, the transfer feature is just that. Transfer. No money involved by default. There's the "referencedTransaction" parameter (wesleyh's client doesn't show it), but I can't think of a way to atomically involve it with another transaction.

What you're asking would be a nice feature, actually. Anyone care to comment on this?

Dear people,

In the light of all doubts and frustration, I want to give a view from the other side.

Today, I had a follow-up meeting with the co-owner of the following projects, which I have already posted before:

https://trackprotect.com
http://www.soundframework.com/
http://www.rhosmovement.com/

I was introduced to this person a few days ago and he we had some exploratory talks.

In today's talks, we discovered that what Nxt provides with its framework is exactly what he wants from a digital asset system.

Talks are going well, and all involved are satisfied.

This investor does NOT care about the technical side: he has people for that.
He does NOT care to explain to his users how the software works, just THAT it works.
He also does NOT care about the doubt of others: he cares about what hé sees as the potential.

We are four months old. We have an amazing potential: not just as a "coin", bit as a group of talented people who can get things done.

MAY!

I, however, am bolstered once more by a real investor, with a project worth millions of euros and five years of development and a working system, who after only two days and talks with me and some other big Nxt people (developers ánd stakeholder) and who already runs a business, and who thinks what we have is both promising and useful and wants to use it!

I choose to go with that, and also keep in mind that we are young and still very much a developing system.

We have people testing and developing, and that comes with delays and changes of plan when things don't work out the way we thought they would.
NOTHING ever does!

We will be having another talk on Wednesday. I will keep you up to date.

Well put, and thanks. Way to hit the ground runnin'.

I get your point, but it's not what I meant.
I tend to use him as a skilled thermometer for our (also mine) fears.
It's his strength.
I don't want to imply people are just echoing hím. He echoes ús!

As you say: he is the echo, but the fears are real. I also think that, on balance, they are well-founded.

The things wé (in here, specifically) are afraid of, are enlarged by a complete focus on something other people couldn't care less about.

I disagree that this is totally rational. There is a big amount of frustration and fear mixed in, which skews our view to a decidedly negative side.
That doesn't mean that things are hunky-dory, but it does mean that it's not completely shit.

The fact that someone with no knowledge of these issues, but who looks at what we have, doesn't care.

And yes, he knows about testing, problems etc. because you always need to be completely candid about what you have.

Hope that clear it up.

NXT I am guessing is the most often hacked / stolen crypto due to simple passwords.  You must use a very complex password not to be hacked / robbed.
Do not use anything you can remember or any phrase since hackers constantly plug random passwords into what is essentially a shared network wallet.  Your password is everything your account and your password with it you can access the funds from anywhere any wallet will access your funds with your password.   Use a long random character password or you will be donating your NXT to hackers!!!!!!

It's not about the password. I misintepreted how the client functions. I expected it to work like how a normal PoW wallet works, and thought the password was an encryption password. I thought that I could simply re-login to my account using the account number, and entering the same password.

It's a simple but costly mistake. But my point here is that the NXT client is really un-user-friendly. I like the idea of having ur password as your login, but most users are not accustomed to such a system. the NXTcoin teams needs to seriously educate users properly about how to manage the wallet etc. I followed the guide on nxtcrypto.org, and the guide Doesn't mention the differences the client has with a normal Cryptocoin wallet.
