I don't think it is. I've been asking here for months how you are going to get little fish to forge, how we'll get instant 1000 TPS as promised, whether the network is safe being protected only by big fish forging and no one would give a straight answer. I also come to learn Nxt doesn't work without CENTRALIZED high power VPS nodes being run at expense to anyone wanting to do so, which makes it NO different than Ripple, which by the way DOES have instant transactions.

 I guess that we will have to wait for the full implementation of forging leasing and Transparent Mining to see.

and widthraw?
- my NXT were sent from Bittrex in the same minute when I approved the widthraw in email

Why is no one talking about the bombshell C-F-B dropped last night in releasing the 3rd part of BCNext plan, which was basically one paragraph saying NXT was just an experiment and will fail without altrustic human cooperation?

I was hoping it was an April Fools joke but I don't think it was. If so, I've already dumped half my Nxt because of it.

CFB has said many things in the last few months. If we reacted every time he said something non-reassuring we would have all dumped 10 times already. On the other side every time he says something like this, he comes back after few days and says and changes his view toward positive outlook.
I mean look at it yesterday. First he published 3rd part of the plan  and then he revealed he is not even leaving and that his future project will be built on the top of NXT.

I think all of this is some kind of game, I expressed my current way of thinking in this post.

Final and most important is this:

We have a technology, we have a community, we have ideas and it seems that we know what we are doing and where we are headed.
Who gives a f**k what BCNext imagined NXT to be. He gave us the technology and left us (or he didn't, who really knows) to do whatever we would like with it. Even CFB said few times that we can follow BCNext plan or not and choose which direction we will stir this ship. I think this is exactly what we need to do and what we are doing. As long as we are thinking like this, nobody can do shit and nobody can stop us except maybe BCNext or CFB if they want to kill the network with one click as they might know how since they invented this thing.

So to summarize, everything is in our hands and we will be what we want to be!

Go to coinmarketcap and take a look at all the coins. Who except Etherum and us has this technology? Nobody! This needs to give you confidence!! Nothing else, not any post, opinion or whatever, not even if it is coming from BCNext/CFB.

P.S. Of course you need human cooperation for anything in life. When cooperation ceases things are going down. I mean this is a life story of all of us humans. That is why you see things lasting in cycles, any things since the dawn of life on this planet until now and it will probably stay like this in the future as well.

I am in all 3 major tries to decentralize exchanges (xcp,msc,nxt), so do not get me wrong.

Got a few questions: Why should I use nxt over msc and xcp - msc and xcp both use bitcoin adresses - so i can basically send my btc to a msc or xcp adress and exchange in whatever I want through their tokens (xcp,msc).

The point with all dex is that they cannot take coins in escrow, so you can trade an IOU of doge or btc or whatever but not a true doge,btc or whatever. This is also true for nxt isn't it? I remember James trying to build a somewhat gateway which trades real btc or doge for nxt:  Are you going to release that with the first version of AE? Or do you also at first trade IOUs?

NXT has its own blockchain, Bitcoin guys are not too happy about XCP and MSC guys bloating their blockchain even more which is by the way already very loaded. This fact will surely cause some restrictions for XCP and MSC. I read somewhere that they have already reduced bandwidth for XCP usage by almost half.

As I understood you will be able to trade real DOGEs etc.. James is working on multisig gateways for that at the moment.

I don't think it is. The 3rd part of the plan basically explained everything. Nxt is not an elegant financial solution. It won't work without centralization and as people lose interest the network will become weaker and weaker. Meanwhile other people are coming up with real solutions that don't involve everyone holding hands and singing Koom-By_Ya.

So if BCNext said that Nxt will be in your morning cereal, would you have bought as much Nxt as possible?   His 3rd part wasn't a plan at all, it was a philosophical interpretation of what he thinks of BTC, Nxt, etc.. with no specifics, and his thoughts are just that, they have no affect and influence on what Nxt has/will become.  I will buy all of your Nxt for Ripple or BTC right now, put your money where your mouth is.

for the asset exchange.. in terms of adding support for fiat currencies..

seller puts 100 coins in escrow plus 10 collateral. buyer puts up 20 also. sends money, seller confirms receipt of money, 10 gets released back to seller, 100 coins from seller plus 20 put up for collateral gets released back to buyer,  

that way neither can gain from trying to con the other... coins arent release until money is confirmed, if seller claims money wasnt sent seller looses 10 percent.. plus coins up for sale,  

if buyer doesnt send money he looses his 20percent  no incentive to not pay as he will actually loose 20 percent of his money..  if this was implemented buying coins could actually be faster on AE then through 3rd party..

imagine you want to buy off someone thats with the same bank.. online banking you pay within minutes and coins get sent..

Wimp.....so what u are saying is that u have absolutely no faith in the community that has built NXT up to where it is, but rather want to have BCNext make all of your decisions for you?
The same BCNext who has already made it clear that NXT was always intended, at least partly,  as a social experiment ?

Of course NXT will fail without co-operation, like all human efforts that involve more than one person.

NXT is not altruistic, we are all in it for the money. And if we all work for it, we will get it.

I've said it before : No gods, no kings, just NXT.

We don't need no stinking BCNext, or any other guru/leader/father figure.
