"The Register" prides itself in being the king of snark. Every article is written with that "raised-eyebrow-sneer" that comes from an aloof and emotionally inept web 2.0 'geek' trying to be edgy. They hate most things, it seems. I wouldn't put too much stock into their coverage of bitcoin or anything else, for that matter.
