Hey,

the Namecoin client for Windows isn't working on my Windows 7 64bit.
When I start it on cmd it asks for Windows Firewall permissons and then simply does nothing.
The HDD is showing some activity for a few minutes but then namecoind.exe does nothing anymore.
No output where I should put the config file... Simply nothing! (Only the opened cmd window)
When I close the cmd window it gives me some kind of "close" exception error or something like this.

Can you help me?

Thanks,
Hekuro
Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

You know there is not any GUI for Namecoin?
Run your first namecoind, leave it alone
Then in a cmd, run 'namecoind help'

http://dot-bit.org/InstallAndConfigureNamecoin

Own address: 19QkqAza7BHFTuoz9N8UQkryP4E9jHo4N3 - Pywallet support: 1AQDfx22pKGgXnUZFL1e4UKos3QqvRzNh5 - Bitcointalk++ script support: 1Pxeccscj1ygseTdSV1qUqQCanp2B2NMM2
Pywallet: instructions. Encrypted wallet support, export/import keys/addresses, backup wallets, export/import CSV data from/into wallet, merge wallets, delete/import addresses and transactions, recover altcoins sent to bitcoin addresses, sign/verify messages and files with Bitcoin addresses, recover deleted wallets, etc.

OK, sorry.
I got it now.

I have two questions:

1. Does it make sense to mine with CPU on namecoins? I've only got 8 MHash/s...
2. If yes for question 1, could you name me some namecoin mining pools?

Thanks :-D

EDIT: Yay. Post 50 :-D

Mining namecoins is even less profitable than mining bitcoins currently Undecided
But if you want to try anyway there are about 3 pools, but I only know bitparking.com
