Private sales are sales for large players, pools, people who can invest a lot of money, and pre-sale often do without monetary constraints but reward people who are more before to invest in the project.

I've red somewhere that a private sale is just as a previous poster said, an event for the big guys, who can afford to invest a lot of cash while presale or pre-ICO is a way to gather funding to cover all the expenses that come with organizing the main ICO event. Pre-ICO price of the token is mostly lower than that of the main ICO, there are so called bonuses. Also, some projects have more stages whether in presale or in main ICO that are conducted in different time frames.

Private sales are sales for large players, pools, people who can invest a lot of money, and pre-sale often do without monetary constraints but reward people who are more before to invest in the project.

Private is not only for large investors, you can see some projects are doing private sale for medium or even lower investors but the team will be more interesting to get the whales joining in their ico.
Privatesale mean you are reques your pool to the developer and the developer will be privately contacted you.

Usually private sale require big investments starting from 50 000 $ + but that investments get more profitable than others.

Presale is for people who want to dump their coins at the end of the ICO with a 10-20% gain, while Private sale goes to people who will dump tanking the coin down to its cheapest price, since they bought with the biggest discount. Regular sale usually goes to the suckers who pay for all this fun getting the coins at full price.

I think the two terms have been mixed up, before what private sale mean is the seed money the developers raised from those that believe in their project and this money is used to attract interest in their project, support their project and marketing and promotion of their platform, but now Presale and private sale happen almost simultaneously

If you notice not all ICO's are offering private sale, usually what they do is they offer private sales to their business partners, coworkers, friends or their relative with huge discounts to them which is mostly happen even before launching their ICO to the public. But some ICO does offer private-sale to the public also if needed to attract early investors. And of course, both in private & pre-sale the minimum amount of investment is high with huge bonuses & not every investor can afford to buy in this phase. In a normal main sale, the discounts will be less or no discount but the minimum amount of investment will be less.

Good question! Both of this types od sales it is just marketing.
In my understanding, privaty sale it is the sale to the limited number of persons, and pre-sale it is just sale with significant price discount.

Exactly mate, pre-sales it contains the higher bonuses compared to private sales. It's better to invest during presale because of some ICO projects having huge bonuses in that stage. But at this stage, I considered that more in risk because you don't know what will project happen after the presale. Meanwhile, the private sale you know already the project run it take 1 month after the presale happens, whether it is the successful project or not.
