Np. To save yourself some time use this: https://bitcoinvanity.appspot.com/ (if its free)... I realized that I wasted your time in generating it since it took that site a few seconds to re-make it.

Site looks awesome, but it says it costs 0.003 BTC for me :/

Desired prefix: 1Monbux (case sensitive)

Step 1 Public Key:

Hey everyone, do these result in compressed keys? The private keys begin with Letters K or L, instead of Number 5.

Im not sure but the website results with a private key starting with a 5 (after you combine both together).

All these services seem to produce uncompressed keys (begins with 5). I prefer compressed keys now.

How does it really make a difference? Is there a difference in efficiency?

There is a difference in space. Compressed keys are shorter in the blockchain. Therefore on average, you pay less in transaction fees, and you send smaller transactions in terms of bytes.

All bitcoin addresses generated by a brand new wallet (using bitcoin-qt), since version 0.6+ are compressed keys.

Is there any app that generates vanity addresses that are compressed?

Great! I might try to mine a few addresses of my own. Will the mining time be significantly lower or will it be around the same?

I was wondering, regarding the security of this BitcoinVanity, would I be fine if I generated a split key from BitAddress and added the public key to the BitcoinVanity and kept my private key and then combined the private key from BitcoinVanity with my own to get my actual private key. Would there be any way someone knows my private key for the vanity address or am I in the clear? I’m not too cluey on the notion of vanity addresses and split keys so I would appreciate if someone could fill me in.

Nobody would know your private key, what we give you is the part priv key. So you combine your part with our part and you get a private key to import into your preferred wallet.
