I'm interesting in trying out mining...I'd like to very accurately track the cost of mining...does anyone use (and can recommend) a power metering device that you plug the mining rig into?

Newegg has the best price on the kill-a-watt that I've seen (USD 20 delivered in the US).

If you have a new meter on your house you may also be able to use Google Powermeter.

Well, if you are into modding, case cooling, temperature management and (first of all) bitcoin mining,
i suggest you this

Not exactly "cheap" but you get 4 temperature sensors, 4 fan management with speed regulation, and the power meter Smiley
