Can you tell us why you are closing microwallet.org?
Because we have no more free time to run this free service.

Why not selling script + domain?
Because we don't sell the domain and the user database. But the alternative services will be linked on the Microwallet site.

Is it plain monetizing of the script?
We plan to sell 3 copies because three services are better than one. And then link all the three on the Microwallet site and support all of them in the Microfaucet script.

First idea was open sourcing it, but there are 2 problems with the open source code:
- too many similiar sevices bad for the users (hard to reach the withdrawal limit), 2-3 is enough
- does not filter out the scammers

If you know a better method which will lead to 3 similar, reliable services and can filter out scammers you can tell it.

I was going use this and implement a faucet to my site.  Sad to see MicroWallet shutting down.  I agreed with charging a fee for every transaction if that can keep the service going.

Oh man, I am kind of sad because of this. I've used Microwallet for most faucets I've been creating and now I was planing to start new one but looks like I will have to wait for new service.

Hello,

looking people who could build faucet for me. Simple 1 page template. Have example. Biggest work to insert different captcha to microwallet script.

Please contact me if you can do it and say your price.

Thank you

I haven't developed a faucet script per se, but I think you might be interested in a faucet rotator script of mine - where you put in your faucet ref links and earn btc from referrals, ads, etc. I'll even set it up for free (for the technically challenged), and make small changes if needed. Advertised cost for this script is 0.026 BTC, with 50% referral earnings. The link for this script is http://www.pastecoin.com/DD5.

I am also developing a more advanced version - complete with user-friendly admin backend, ability to add other admins, pause faucets from rotation, delete/add/modify faucets, and possibly ad management. Am currently nearing the finish of the wireframe stage, and about to move on to the E.R.D (basically, planning how the information will be organised into a database).

I would like to suggest you that you should fix iframe in your script by changing its width to 100% because faucets in your rotator are kind of unattractive to see.

The developer of Microwallet said they no longer have the free time to run the site... How about getting some trusted members from here to help with the admin side of things?

I would be fine with as well. It doesn't seem like he wants to part with the site, just the code.

It's not sad it there will be 3 services instead of one.

Switching will take like 5 mins if you have a faucet. Users don't need to do anything.

I am certainly intrigued but you seemed to have pulled down the link. Have you found 3 people already?

The info was removed because we have no time to answer 100 emails per day about this especially because nothing will change for the users.

Anyone who is interested to get a copy of the source code and run a similar service should send an email containing the following infos:
- your Bitcointalk profile URL
- URLs of the Bitcoin websites you own (if any)
- how much you are willing to pay for the source code between 0-4 BTC

You will get the source code, a link on the Microwallet.org to your service and support in the Microfaucet script.

About 3 people will be chosen.

Good to see Carlos step up, how will the transition happen for people who use the script but have custom themes? will we get a step by step on what code to edit once the new service is launched?

Thanks
