I just watched MTGOX make a sharp move up in several hours on a good volume of coins. All of a sudden a reversal  with microbids of coins. Someone as fucking with the exchange, I have no doubt.
The exchange would have to have jumped lower bids or people came in and bid lower with effectively chump change.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Free market involves good faith and fair dealing not counterparty-less self-trading.

Depending on what chart your looking at you might think now is a good time to buy.

All of a sudden a reversal  with microbids of coins.

Bots.
