I'm solo mining with 2 erupters, (using bitcoin-qt server mode and bfgminer pointed to it) and then this message popped up. This doesn't mean I have found a block does it? I don't know what to think but I have a semi right now.

I'm not the luckiest guy in the world am I? I can't tell I'm a little confused.

No, sorry.  It means what it says, that a new block has been detected, not that you found it.

EDIT: Actually, it could mean that.  Check the balance of your address associated with block generation.

"The powers of financial capitalism had another far-reaching aim, nothing less than to create a world system of financial control in private hands able to dominate the political system of each country and the economy of the world as a whole. This system was to be controlled in a feudalist fashion by the central banks of the world acting in concert, by secret agreements arrived at in frequent meetings and conferences. The apex of the systems was to be the Bank for International Settlements in Basel, Switzerland, a private bank owned and controlled by the world's central banks which were themselves private corporations. Each central bank...sought to dominate its government by its ability to control Treasury loans, to manipulate foreign exchanges, to influence the level of economic activity in the country, and to influence cooperative politicians by subsequent economic rewards in the business world."

There is a new block on the network, that means that the last one was mined. It doesn't mean that you've mined it.

You're never going to find a block with that.  It would be like winning the lottery.

If you join a pool maybe you'll make $1 per day if you're lucky.  Maybe that $1 worth of bitcoins will be worth something some day.

I don't want to join a pool. I just want to create some heat and have a lottery ticket everyday.

I didn't buy them to make a profit, they are a little hobby and something to show my grandkids in the future.

I would rather have a chance at making some serious coin than make $1 in 2 weeks (more realistic).

Damn right!  You and me, brother, keeping the Bitcoin network running even if all the pools go up in smoke.

Exactly, we're not going to make a big difference individually but as lots of individuals we can do everyone a favour.
