Anyone have any idea how I can get the $AUD out of Weexchange? I accept that my 0.5 BTC is stuck and may be lost, but if 'ukyo' wants to make things right, at least make it possible for me to withdraw the remaining $AUD in my account.
Ripple withdrawals are disabled, and it says my bank account is not 'verified' - with no instructions how to verify (funny how it was verified enough to transfer money into weex), and even if there was I would be very hesitant to send them any more personal information.
Has anyone managed to withdraw $$ since this mess started?

Ukyo probably fucked up and made a huge mistake when tried to fix bitcoind. At some point he had all the private keys of all the wallets.
He should've started an operation to fix bitcoind with help from a team of professionals, but being an idiot he is, he tried to fix it by himself, which is extremely hard. So he either destroyed or lost all the data in the process, or it was leaked and someone stole the bitcoins.

Ukyo is with me now, he is saying for instructions on how to verify click where it says "not verified", or click on "profile" and then "identification" to upload the needed documents to process an AUD withdraw.
My status is "verified" - I have uploaded ID previously and it says:"You currently have 115 of 100 minimal points to gain Verified status." But then when I go to withdraw AUD it says "No verified AUD bank accounts." even though there is a bank account registered and I am verified (and have deposited from that bank account). Is there any point putting in a support ticket - or will it be ignored like all the BTC related ones? |

It requires a lot of work to make up $2 million. Especially in Cyprus where per capita GDP is a mere US$23K. Not sure how Danny thinks he can be helpful in getting us back money that isn't there. Also not sure why we can't get a full explanation now from Ukyo as to what happened along with some proof that his explanation is true if this was an honest mistake (either technical or mismanagement). The silence only stinks of fraud and implicates Danny as one who has aided and abetted the the perpetrator of the fraud. |

Even the most stupid retard would keep several backups of the wallet file or private keys (or use a deterministic wallet). I can't believe he's so dumb that his entire exchange used a single wallet with no backup...there's simply no way he could be that dumb and still have been able to code all the systems. Plus if this were the case he would easily be able to provide proof of the locked/lost coins; and they would never move after the date the wallet was lost. |

Of course he can. This is Bitcoin. (And there are many examples of BitFunder being poorly coded already.) If he claimed he ran an exchange and weexchange, he is a coder since years and he isnt really a noob to the net and pc's, and he didnt made backups... then i think its a clear lie. If he really didnt do it then i would strongly assume it was on purpose. He really has to come with some infos now. |

Or perhaps he hired a "professional" to help and the "professional" stole all the coins once they had access to the wallet and saw those millions sitting there. Many things are possible. Everyone is just guessing until more information is released. |

Hm... that level of security is indeed a bit strange. At least he changed the code... letting security pros do it is a good choice i think. But i think that can be an error... when coding you never are able to think about every possibility and especially when you never thought about such vulnerabilities you wont recognize them. Forgetting backups is way more fundamental... so i think that didnt happen. I mean... even when he used a rented server... there is good chance the serverprovider did backups on its own. Anyway... if he really starts to claim the private keys are gone or the bitcoins somehow vanished from their addresses... i cant believe him. |

Well, it's almost 6:00pm in Cyprus and we've had no update and no coins paid. So I guess the obvious conclusion is that we should be patient for another week and assume that Danny and Ukyo continue to do their best and we should be thanking them for their efforts.
