Exactly.

One word shows people will spend if there is something they want and don't need to be "encouraged": SilkRoad

Why do we need to "encourage economic growth"?  Are people not naturally inclined to growth?  Do we also need to encourage the seasons to change?

My biggest problem with bitcoin volatility is how it stacks with long transaction times.

You wait 20+ minutes for 3 confirmations, and by that time pricechange is 5-15% at least
