It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

This is not a "xxBTC" domain, maybe a 1BTC domain if you find the right buyer.

Yes, the thread was down almost a year now, did not bump it much.
Good luck to you too.

The problem is XBT has kind of lost to BTC right?

early adopters/people on forums will always use btc, but when it will go main stream and will be traded on wall street it will be XBT

Example:

Bloomberg: XBTFUND
CUSIP: 09173T108
ISIN: US09173T1088
Ticker: N/A

Conclusion?

- BTC = anarchists name
- XBT = ISO standart

That is a pretty big assumption. Many sites like xe.com also seem to have preference for it (http://www.xe.com/currency/xbt-bitcoin) but even so BTC seems to be the status quo at least here...
