Has anyone worked with Vos? Deposited money and nothing appeared in my balance. Emailed them, no response. Their phone number is invalid. This is fishy as hell. I will report fraud and void the transfer unless something appears or they answer. Anyone had a similar issue?

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

I smell scam.  I

You should have verified with members of bitcointalk first.

Doesn't look like anyone complaining it's a scam though.

See for yourself, IDK.

We are seeing a high amount of volume, email me at mike@vaultofsatoshi.com and we can see whats taking so long.

Usually its either:

1) No vault of satoshi account number was put on the receipt be the teller

or

2) you never sent us an email with the receipt

3) It was simply missed

I apologize. I gave the acct number to the Wells Fargo banker to include with transfer and she forgot it. It took them over an hour to figure out how to do this and mistakes were made. I've never done this before so I didn't know. Email sent.

Correction: My bank did it right. Hey, Mike Curry: Fix your follow-thru process. Why haven't I heard from anyone? I want credit and a free Bitcoin or something. Really?

There's a first time for everything. I lost $1000. No communication from them. Nothing. If you have anything in their accts, get it out. If I can't get my money back, it becomes a criminal case.

The fact that they have not contacted me is what pisses me off the most. They're not contacting anyone. At all. I now have the feeling it's just Curry running the show. If that's the case, I could see why it would be hard to contact everyone. Something in the site news feed would be sufficient. The fact that he's not saying a word throws up red flag after red flag, and the support stream on his site  is full of people who deposited and heard nothing.

I could understand this exchange being new and having growing pains and all, but messing with peoples' money will destroy a business fast.

Let us know if you know of or find a reputable exchange that takes dollars. I will ship much business to whoever can provide safe honest service.

I think Virtex is the only other game in town? Unless you use foreign exchanges.

I like sites lke Litecoins.local and Bitcoinslocal.com. but we need one that deals in the other coins. Peer to Peer has worked well for me but needs to have these other coins. I will check out Virtex too. I am leary of foreign exchanges for obvious reasons, and would need something faster than the 3 to 7 days to set it up. Each day this stuff goes up and I miss thousands in gains. The crypto concept is great but the machine is a little rusty.

The machine is incredibly rough. But once it gets smoothed out the value is gonna go even higher.. I think.

Hey all, got hold of Mike Curry. He is buried in deposits and hasn't been able to get in contact with anyone because of the backlog. He is fixing deposits, and some deposits are still being held by BMO. He is hoping to be up and even by Monday. He understood why I and others were upset and is working to fix everything. He fixed my acct.
