It’s unlikely, because your transactions and, as a result, the coins in your wallet are not included in these blocks (since 6 Dec), they were in a different chain. I would call the real incarnation of Bells a fork of the original project.

It's interesting to watch the old "hot" scrypt in 2023. These are not undervolts with silent mods. The last time I started mining on it was either on 5870 or 7950.

It would have been better if they found somebody who had a copy of the original blockchain and synced it from that.



The coin and the blockchain are still abandoned. This is a clone of a 10-year-old coin. Cool, fun, and even educational -- but the tweet author didn't mention that people would be mining on a new blockchain. His thread gives the impression that people are mining on the original blockchain -- they're not.

If you want to mine or buy old-ass coins where the original blockchain is still in use, I recommend 42coin. That's a fun one because there will only ever be 42 coins. Launched Jan 2014, died in 2015, revived in 2016 with the original chain.

good question, it was restarted on Dec 6 since noone had the original chain. Perhaps there will now be two incompatible chains, the original and the new one, as the blocksize wars predicted.

Yes it may have been launched with the original software, but the blockchain started over again at block 0. This wipes the history of the chain. So its not the "original Bells", its a clone of Bells. Which is fine, but it should have been presented as such.

I wouldn't be surprised if nobody kept a copy of the old chain... This project didn't last for very long & never had a whole lot of interest.
