So just yesterday Havven's ICO sold out after a few hours. Their whole idea is that they're a payment network and stablecoin.

What does everyone think about stablecoins? I originally didn't like them because I thought they were just like Tether but found that they're quite different since they're not tied to real-world assets like gold. They use a dual token system to reduce price volatility.

stablecoins are what the crypto economy needs imo. If we all want mass adoption to happen, no one's going to be spending bitcoin on groceries lol. I like havven way better than tether just based on the dual token structure they have going. it's a good incentive for all token holders/ecosystem.

Crazy that they raised so much in like 2 hours too

Stable or not, the long term return of investors comes from the profit of project, not it's price pattern. Don't be fooled by short term price of DGX.

Got whitelisted but couldnt get into by any chance only after few hours. I like their product anyway its good to have a stablecoin that focuses on leveraging usability as well rewarding for their escrowers. Might get some.if their tokens are released to.exchanges

You are obviously not reading haven whitepaper. It has different mechanism with a better structure at all. I suggest you to read all of things in the haven whitepaper and you will be fine dude. The havven use escrow method too. But but I think that that was even better rather than tether with its inflation.

I think so long as cryptocurrency currently is as volatile as it is a stable coins is a much needed. Unfortunately our space hasn't got to the point where traders can move fast between exchanges. When the market goes down which it does allot people want the option to move back into fiat. But in crypto this means sending to a major exchange which can take a lifetime and then on top of that there are the added tax implications. Tether I'm not really too sure of. I feel tether will be fine as long as the probing doesn't go too deep.

same. this idea is what we all need int he crypto realm. Havven is a solid project after reading their wp. imo the future lies in stablecoins. I think tether is going down due to their investigation.
