Have a $220 bitmain coupon for anyone considering a z9 purchase. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3521918.msg36252611#msg36252611    It would be helpful to know how many z9s they are selling.  Hope Bitmain doesnt oversell the miner to D3 status.

Antminer Z9 mini, hence the mini part. Will there be a full Z9 version? As the power consumption is only 300W for the mini version. What if there is a full Z9 version? Can Z9 mini uses other power supply as it only consume 300W.

Bitmain looks to be clearing out old chips stock.  The z9 ad does not specify whether they are using 16nm tech.... but my bet is they are clearing out old chip wafers with several of these altcoin miners.  The risk is that a competitor comes along and obsoletes the z9 with a significantly better performing miner.  Just look at the x3 for a recent example...

ZEC developers don't like and don't support ASICs so Fork is already under preparation ... double think what will you mine with the Z9 doorstops after ?  Kiss Kiss
BITMAIN will be burn again like their monero miners....

BUY DOORSTOPS BUY AND AFTER CRY .... BUY BUY ....  Kiss Kiss

Some weeks ago ZEC developers told that they have to manage other problems

From what I read it looks like like it needs four PCIe cables for the main part and one more for the control module. Though later it mentions connecting three PCIe cables total which is more in line with the power draw. I cannot see any reason to not use a different PSU especially if you can get a more efficient unit.

That said, it didn't seem like there is an option to purchase without the supply at the moment.

True, but if this thing ROIs in even double the time predicted it will likely make double what it cost prior to that becoming a reality. I wonder if the next batch will be more expensive. Kind of mad at myself for not jumping on the E3 @ $800.

Usually may be double the speed and watt, like L3/L3+

I figured there had to hidden ASIC's on zcash,  when Zcash hit sub 150 dollars 2 months ago the Network Hash rate did not
really go down much.   Figures its Shitmain doing there thing.   Just remember buyers If Shitmain is releasing theses miners
they have way better ones on there own farms. Cool

If these guys don't fork i'm dumping all the zcash I have mined.

1) maybe.
2) if theres a fullsize version, id expect it to be ~1300W like the other full-size bitmain miners
3) it needs a 300W 12V power supply. the 1600W psu they sell will work for 3-5 of these at a time

24" PCI-E cables with 16AWG wires and stripped ends - great for server PSU mods, best prices https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=563461

My first Asic purchase.

"you people".

Most of my farm is GPU's.

Specs are ridiculous, hard to pass up, even if I only break even.

Don't be a douche.

Can any detectives find out how many have sold based on the payment address?

Show me an address that you purchased one today.

I can try,  sometimes it is possible

If Zcash does not fork, then ...

10.000 SOls with 300w and 2000-2500 USD will kill GPU mining.

It is like
-hashrate 23-25 GTX 1070
*price 4 GTX 1070
*Watt 2 GTX 1070

It is now Zcash devs turn to decide.

Well I ordered one, paid on time with LTC and it says order expired now.

Lets see how this plays out..

Same thing happened to me as well.  Sent a query using their 'support contact' feature, but haven't heard anything yet.  I'm assuming it's just because they manually move the funds from each payment address and just haven't gotten around to mine yet.

***Update***

Okay, just checked again and all is well now.

Nah, hedging a bet. The GPUs will still be useful for other things/coins. If you have been GPU mining ZEC seriously then you see the performance of this, the power consumption, and the price point and it is a no brainer. The E3 miner was great on price for batch 1, now not so much. I suspect the same here.

Unfortunately the GPUs I use for ZEC are not useful for ETH at the moment. Hoping ETHlargement gets released for TXP.

Anyhow, if ZEC forks then my GPUs stay profitable on ZEC, if not then the Z9 does. Kind of a self-preservation deal. Which is the least bad?

10Ksoln/s @300W is damn amazing. Enough for me to overlook my disdain for ASICs. That said, MOQ of 1 isn't bad. To get 7 takes a decent amount of hustle and coin. Respect!

Maybe it's a decoy. They want the ASIC to come to out and then suddenly they will change their algo.

you could have purchased vegas and mined monero for close to the same profit, plus if zec does not fork why would u want to mine a coin that  doesn’t even live up to its promise of asic risistance just becuase they are greedy, you all have no backbone or morals imo, its one thing to buy one or two , but 5 6 7 8 , youre helping fund development of yet more asics to other algos with your greed.

what do u think happens when bitmain has asics for every crypto ... funded by you? they will x thier pricees by 3x or more like they did the E3 , then what will you do?

Yeah i get it u want to make money .. we all do but you can make just as much money short term by mining asic resistant forks like c7 , x16 or Pryl

stop feeding the beast smh
