I'm in with you. However I think crypto prices are depressed now, don't wish to sell crypto for cheap. Hoping for $750 Eth/$9000 Btc in the next 4 weeks before jumping in to buy.

Yes, prices are at a lull. But I value the 'first to pay, first to receive' mantra that Bitmain claims to respect.
Also, there is a risk that this batch sells out at this price.

I also look at digital currency as an investment. I very VERY rarely use existing funds to purchase gear, I always buy the amount needed (except when BTC was over $15K). I realize mathematically this equates to the same gain/loss, but I look at it as paying the purchase price, not losing earnings. Plus it works out a lot better for the IRS.

Hard to tell how long it might of been used for since in different areas there are different amounts of dust/dirt.

I worked for a company a long time ago that produced equipment for Vestax and dbx.  When we were wrapping up testing of a new build it wasn't uncommon to incorporate parts of test rigs if it meant making a shipping schedule.  However, we would always use 'Dust Off' or an alcohol dip before incorporating the parts before shipping.

I'm with you on this one. Also, just some basics for this type of stuff--if it was a legit pic, why not link to the source? Why wouldn't the person be open about it? Why would they not have contacted the company with a complaint, and if so made that public too? For whatever complaints people may have about Bitmain, their support staff are, at the very least, pretty fucking fast to respond to messages, we'd have more information even if it was negative...

I went to the twitter account he said the photo came from.  It's nowhere to be found in a post on that other twitter account.

By the way, that's the same guy we got to delete that video.

Also, if one has a close look at the heat sinks in the dusty photo compared to the confirmed photo of an actual Z9 mini I provided, it's quite obvious to me if you look at the TALL heat sinks on the actual Z9 mini compared to the photo of the dusty ASIC in its photo it's NOT a dusty Z9 mini.  Note how the Z9 mini heat sinks on the back of the boards are ALL LEVEL.  The heat sinks on the back of each board for the dusty photo has SHORTER metal spikes on the outside edges and all the rest of the metal spikes on the interior of each heat sink are level.

I'am not saying he is lying, but we should take it with caution ..... It's possible that Bitmain that the first shipped
units are indeed the "testing units" but i would like to have proof form an unbiased guy. That guy doesn't sound

I've never used Nicehash before.  If anyone else has, can you answer a question for me with 100% assurance your answer is correct.  If you're not 100% sure and still answer, please let us know you're not 100% sure when you do answer.  The reason for my question involves "private" mining.

Does Nicehash ask for personal information when one purchases hash from them to mine?

Considering they QA all miners to test hash rate and chips, some dust should be expected. How long they QA for is unknown.

IN the US and the Free world they value that or have to, even most of the Greedily crops in the US do only because of what sane laws we have left that makes them or they wouldn't either and be just as bad as butmian an all but a few get a way with it who have actually killed people and paid there way out of it. an don't think those big crops care they don't if there wasn't laws to force them to be honest they wouldn't be and cover it up so there QA is only there because the law requires it, so no no decently reputable company would care because there are none unless it's small or starting out. the big guys don't give shit one way or the other an only do what they have to watch the news I'm not talking fake news either .

No not that i a ware of they may ask for a email if you use there wallet at no fee other wise just mine useing there port configuration for what miner your using and mine to your own btc address with any kind of miner just find the port that matches that hardware.

tip don't use Prohashing if you live in the US and have a big farm they will report any thing over 600 bucks to the IRS and may not pay you for anything over 600 bucks if you don't agree and give them personal info when they ask for it..I'm not saying don't pay your taxes in fact do pay them i do I'm just saying don't be huh if that happens with a big farm and I'm sure in time they will support the Z9 once they see how it goes over they all ready support Equihash mining with GPUS.

No, they don't. They may when buying hashpower, but when selling your own you just point it at NH and put in your BTC wallet like any other pool (except, you know, BTC). I can't remember what they ask for when setting up a wallet with them, though (which cuts down on tx fees, especially if you use coinbase)...

I am really upset, how they are treating batch 1 customers. I would rather get a second miner with batch 2 than two soon to be expired coupons. I submitted a ticket to them asking for this and will write on twitter. I think everybody, who is upset about this should do that. Maybe they will change their policy for batch 1 owners, if they get enough pressure.

I don't think a second miner makes much sense, batch 1 users will have way more time with the lower difficulty rate than batch 2. But I DO think they should issue partial refunds instead of coupons.
