You need to just be active and post a lot.  However with the new merit system it is a lot more difficult to rank up.  Make sure you make quality posts with good grammar and your on your way to ranking up.

It's tough to rank up. But you can. You need to post good with value. Grammar, spelling also do matter here. Your activities also matter. So to rank up this is all you need to do.

Well, to be honest, the first question you should do to yourself is "Why I need to rank up?".
Be careful with becoming obsessed with ranking up, for it is now quite difficult due to the merit system. Nevertheless, you can learn from the best. Just take a look at the posting activity of users as DdmrDdmr or Bitmover, both have rank up in no time, thanks to their amazing contributions.
So, just learn from the best, be humble and never beg for merits or such a kind of attitudes.
The forum is a place for learning and discussing. So read, read and read and you will see how your contributions become better and better, and, with that, you will be able of ranking up.

From my findings, there are two things that are key: posting constructively and being active. It is never by how old your account is. For you to have created your account since 2017 and still remained a newbie confirms that you have never been active. Follow the discussions and contribute constructively and am sure you will grow. Am also advicing myself as we are still in the same rank.

Rank is base on how many activity you have
0-29 activity is newbie rank
30-59 is junior member
60-119 is full member
So on and so fort.
Every 2 weeks or 14 days is the update of activity.

I think you are not active on this forum. So if you want to level up need to post or quote other post but remember never post on off topic section or low-quality post or quote otherwise you will be ban. Now you can try to read every post on this forum and try to help others and also create a topic . But now level up is so hard because you need merit to level up your rank so make a high-quality post to get the merit.

Well, even if you have an account older than 5 years, it won't a rank up unless you are an active member of this forum. The rules of account ranking have changed and now you will not only need activity points but also you will have to reach the minimum amount required for merits. Merits are like Facebook likes but there is a limited number of merits that a member can give to another member, so in order to earn merit points you have to post quality content. It is highly discouraged to ask/buy/beg for the merit points. Just keeping it simple and natural is the best way to gain the next rank.

To reach levels you need to be active here. But sadly I have one thing to say. I checked your account creation date. It was 25th of September 2017. If you were active here and made posts regularly you could have been at least a full member now. But look at your post count. Still just 3.

Merit is in use for someone who wants to ride rank from jr member to member. It takes ten merits to get up rank from jr member to member. How to get it is very difficult, that you must post with a quality post and in accordance with the correct English.
