Good idea.  A month ago.   People have been hoarding Bitcoin too much.  But this thread is super unrealistic at this point.

the reason bitcoin is not taking up very much not in terms of price but acceptance is that most ppl involved with it dont use it.
its that simple.

lets make the market move.

go buy something u dont need for a tiny amount of btc which is trivial for most miners.

explore all the available stores. dont be afraid to loose 10k for 1 btc that you pay today, its not going to get to 10k if noone uses it!

go lads

I've been spending the whole time now my card's paid off. Bought some games, I keep meaning to PM a guy about some used Bitbills, but I keep spending the damn BTC instead.

The best part is spending BTC on the way down always makes you feel like you got a badass deal... just stop re-calculating the USD cost of your purchase after BTC starts rebounding and you'll always feel good about the purchase.

I have 311 transactions in my wallet.  And I've only been into BTC since late June.

Of course, that's mostly gambling.  Cool  Ponzi, Blackjack & Video Poker.

These issues will work themselves out over time imo. The community needs more developers. We already have enough miners. We currently are working on multiple projects but they all take time for quality and security issues.

The community also needs more merchants. :-)  I've now got some bitcoins, am looking for something to spend them on that I would actually buy and that isn't priced too differently than it would be in USD or some other standard currency.  Probably will purchase a shirt or two at the Bitcoin World Market, maybe some good smelling stuff. :-)

Yeah, that's the problem. Most stuff priced in BTC is at a significant premium relative to USD sources.

Bitcoin is the first monetary system to credibly offer perfect information to all economic participants.

BTW, I did buy those t-shirts from Bitcoin World Market.  They arrived today -- well, yesterday, but I picked them up today -- which is about when promised from the order information.  The size is equivalent to the same size elsewhere.  The t-shirt fabric is more elastic than standard t-shirts, springy and a bit clingy.  The fabric is quite soft.  Best, when I washed and dried them (as I just did), they didn't run, fade, or shrink noticeably.  These t-shirts are made of a bamboo-based cellulose fiber, hemp fiber, and cotton fiber, and are highly absorbent.  It isn't terribly hot here today, but if it were, these would be the t-shirts that I would want to wear for comfort.

In short, Bitcoin World Market seems to deliver orders in a timely manner, and to ship what they promise.  I'll doubtless buy more stuff there. :-)

I'm definitely a coffee drinker.  Order incoming.  We'll see how you stack up against my favorite stuff from the Coffee Klatch in the Los Angeles area.  (They unfortunately do not accept Bitcoin -- yet, anyway.)

Any cigarette smokers out there?  If you haven't tried electronic cigarettes, give it a shot at my site.  They could very well change your life for the better just as bitcoin has, as they have for me and tens of thousands of ex-smokers.

If you have tried them and went back to cigarettes, you probably tried a shitty one because thats what most shitty vendors sell in malls.  I sell the good ones that can make your face melt with nicotine rush.

I've always wanted to smoke, but nicotine makes my body revolt. Would you recommend electronic cigarettes for someone like me?

I'd recommend a bicycle helmet everywhere you go, and special signs for your street so people will drive slow. Seriously I can't fathom why anyone in this age would voluntarily start smoking, let alone someone apparently allergic to nicotine.

On-topic though: E-cigs are great for the simple reason that they apparently let you smoke them in hospitals because there's no open flame?

if a hospital knew what you were doing they would probably tell you to stop, not really understanding that its completely safe and the vapor is used in hospital inhalers anyway, minus the nicotine and flavor, lol.   But yes you can vape on an airplane or wherever if you 'stealth vape', i.e. hold in the vapor until there is nothing visible to exhale and hide it in your hand a little.   I stealth vape in movie theaters, airplanes, etc. all the time.  I've heard of people blowing huge cloud of vapor on airplanes and what not and getting all uppity when told to put it away.. people like that suck so don't do that, managers of a private business can legally tell you to stop doing whatever they don't like that you are doing, or leave.

anyway to the guy who doesn't smoke - I wouldn't suggest you voluntarily get addicted to nicotine, no way.  These are mostly for cig smokers who don't want to inhale burning tobacco and all the 4,000 chemicals that comes with it.  While you can get 0-nicotine liquid for e-cigs, I don't sell any currently.  This is useful for vapers who are ready to quit nicotine altogether but still need a 'crutch'.   Myself and many others are perfectly happy to continue on vaping nicotine for the forseeable future.
