Anyone use CaVirtex? Why does it take them so long to verify accounts?!?!

I sent in my documents on the 27th and talked to one of their staff on the phone at that time. She told me that they have to send the documentation to an outside company for verification. WTF?!?! She also told me that it would take up to three weeks? What exactly are they doing and why does it take so long to get verified through them? Why do they even need to verify for CAD withdraws? Is this whole thing a scam?
