Question: What do you think of this idea?
This is a cool idea, I would definitely  do it!
I would like to try it and see if I would like it.
I might visit a site like this on occasion.
I have no interest in mining pools.

So if they pull it off do you think this coin will have a good future?

Well I rarely put out a buy offer on a newly released coins, even though I buy coins across the board on exchanges (in fact the last coin I was puting out buy requests on was ltc)......so yeah I think if the OP pulls this off yeah it could be big Smiley

What do you plan on doing with the arena?

I think the Devs are working on "War rooms" where people can publicly or privet plan on directing the network hash rate to mine a certain coin. This can be used to help out low hashing coins, new coins, or to do a 51% attack on scam coins.

Im not a Dev this is just the jist i got from the OP.

That is close to what I got from it...

I took away that the hashrate of the collective can be purchased to point to another coin, and the purchase rate goes to the miners for that period of time... highest bidder wins rounds of hashing time and the miners can make more profit than mining the current coin.

Something like that...

Yes you guys got it. Thanks for helping! We have lots of things that will be going on in the coming months.

The timeline is not quite clear at this point but we will have plenty of updates to keep everyone informed on our progress.

there will be lots of mini accomplishments between now and total completion.

Right now we are working on upgrading the website to a little different format.  We are also upgrading our servers ahead of time in anticipation of heavy volume.
Please stay tuned .. Keep an eye on our website. BattleCoinXchange.com  For all of our latest news and accomplishments.

Thanks
Jack

I have been mining and my miners get temporarily banned, my total hashrate isnt going into the network. what gives? mining at BCX Mine Big.

added 6.66% donation to the pool and my hashrate skyrocketed. Very nice I am the top doner of the pool now.

I like this coin. I hope the developers put time and dedication into it. But I still am kind of confused about the overall goal of this coin. Glad it has some stakes in it. It'll give miners and holders a reason to like this coin more.

Thanks.

The pool must be scared of me. I am trying to put about 400GHS on it and it crashes my miners. it only reports 80ghs because my miners rotate on bans.

this is lame take the restriction off.

I have been in touch with the MineBig company and they reported to me that they have had issues overnight with what might be a  DDoS. I am not positive of any specific issues and I cannot speak for them. I can only pass messages on to them. If you have support issues please contact them at : http://bcx.minebig.com/index.php?page=contactform  . Please do not spam this thread with Mine Big issues. We have a second pool set up by Marty so people can continuously Mine BCX. Battlecoin seems to be adjusting well to the changes in hash power with the subsidy reduction as we had anticipated. We are still keeping our 24 hour average close to 2 minute block times.

Thanks
Jack
