Question: What do you think of this idea?
This is a cool idea, I would definitely  do it!
I would like to try it and see if I would like it.
I might visit a site like this on occasion.
I have no interest in mining pools.

too give people a heads up there might be a fork in the chain right now? either that or thier's a problem at cryptsy not sure what it is?  Undecided just had 2 withdrawals not go through tx id 93ca44a79fd588c9244d8066f258ebf11002a8b048429d37a720a96377be6f6a  and
edb83daae975594bfdf35af9004e6955f8935bf590404073d11ed02543aa7 show a weird error 5 error code
and the block crawler is showing a error code for the transactions like the last time there was a fork

yes this happen to me last few days, i stake away and coins from cryptsy not arriving, redownloading the blockchain never fixes for me, however I again did a fresh installed on a seperate comp and copy paste my wallet and my coins from cryptsy arrrive.

kinda thing happens regularly for me with bcx and after alot of playing around only a fresh install on a different machine has worked, have no idea why.
Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

It might of just been a cryptsy issue ? still not sure what caused it but they emailed me back and said they were currently having a issue with BCX but they fixed the situation pretty quickly at least and resent me my coins and I received no problem so all's good  Cool and appears to be fine might of been just on their end for whatever reason? but they have things working now.

I just took out 20000 bcx buy wall Shocked good luck ever getting that amount of coin back lol especially at that low low dump price price that was a STEAL @ .0000583 only a fool would SELL @those prices literally that was a hell of a bargain and with that they will never see a exchange  now people stop selling your BCX and hold its only going to go up from here.......... and even at these prices its still a steal as these will be worth so much more when the REAL battles start....... don't get fooled into selling when this pays 3% a month just for holding build a base supply and just sell the intersest and the price will never really matter what it is......... that's 36%+ a year in coins earned for coins owned owned paid in STAKE! just for holding!!!! why wouldn't you hold?............
This Dumper has complete control of the cryptsy market so dont even try to BUY UP!!!! put ALL your BUY ORDERS LOW .00000500 and below cause he's going to try an trick people and take down buy walls  to sell @ higher prices randomly for a second then force the price right back down again after SELLINg at higher prices don't give him the money! he's been trying to BUY back @   around the .00000529 and below range that's his sweet spot so don't bother trying to buy above .00000600 because he's just going to force the price right back down afterword the only thing you can really do is is wait till he brings those huge Buy walls in the low .00000600 and below and is forced to put up a lot of coin that's when to wait to take it away from him !! If you have a lot of coin to Buy  just sit and wait don't even put a WALL up let him think  there is no BUY SUPPORT because as soon as he sees people buying he will take down the walls before you can even BUY THEM! Let him bring his wall down then  TAKE HIS COINS when he leasts expect it trying to BUY up is FUTILE he has too much money and BCX already and people are selling just making him RICHER AND RICHER eventually he will run out if enough people wait and BUY LOW! But if people do nothing? You can kiss battlecoin goodbye pretty much because this guys will ALWAYS keep manipulating the market and eventually own the market at these rates he pretty much already does..............

my wallet was stuck earlier for a moment.I went to debug window console in HELP and ran  repairwallet command and it fixed a transaction and hasn't been stuck since you might want to try that. I just transferred from cryptsy with no problem and mined earlier and recieved without any problems.Cryptsy had problems earlier might of been just because of the bleeding heart exploit but everythings ok now just transferred 20k and went through fine myself Wink

try  also these commands I did them in this order ,getblockcount, getmininginfo, getgenerate, getrawmempool then try repairwallet again. What wallet are you using? i'm using wallet 0.2.1.3 not sure if  that makes a difference but that is what worked for me  and the steps I took. some of the other pools seemed to be down earlier? Bigmine and Arga were down and both had   sync wallet errors listed on the sites so maybe there is a fork and your on wrong side of chain?could be a possibility ? You might have to reinstall if that's the case and delete the Users/Appdata file and fresh install just make sure you copy your wallet.dat file first before you do so.
i have a extra node you can try also if you use notepad write in it addnode=bcx.argakiig.us and save it and name it battlecoin.conf and put it in the c:\users\appdata\roaming\battlecoin section where your wallet.dat  that might help you also

As mentioned, if all else fails then you backup your wallet(twice) and nuke the contents of your bcx directory. Restore your bcx directory and wallet.dat file and rebuild the chain. Not a big deal as bcx is very quick to rebuild compared to other chains.

Sorry I am newbish when you say backup that means copy the wallet.dat folder correct?

When you say nuke contents of bcx directory? does that mean delete everything in battlecoin 0.2.1.3 WindowsQT foldter or all the .dll files or do I delete all the user/app/roaming/battlecoin/.dat files? do I delete the actual qt file?

wallet.dat is a file not a folder. It's the only file that's irretrievable. It contains your private keys. Make numerous backups of that file and keep them safe.

In the interests of keeping this simple, just go to appdata/roaming/battlecoin and delete blkindex.dat and blk0001.dat.

Restart battlecoin-qt. The wallet should begin syncing. If it is not syncing after a few minutes then go back to appdata/roaming/battlecoin and rename battlecoin.conf to battlecoin.conf.bup and try launching battlecoin-qt again.

Cha-ching!

I deleted blkindex.dat and blk0001.dat.

Ran the program and it sync'd in about 30 min.

Thanks so much!
