That's why I've been explaining (repeatedly) that we need to get people to mine the coin. There's no point adding new nodes if the security of the blockchain is poor. Read back a few pages and you'll see I've pointed out that the entire network could be attacked with a single GPU, maybe even a CPU. I also mentioned a possible solution a while back, and have recently implemented it: an auto-faucet, which will pay out 100 IFC per 2 minutes to miners. Hopefully that will be some incentive for people to start mining the coin again. It does rely on funding since it is using existing funds, not actual "mined" (created) coins. If you or anyone have any funds to spare please donate: i86R5mEaP7SFGfuGhzvzguuRH4c98AefzQ

Mining with a CPU (via the wallet) isn't going to work very well, particularly because now other miners seem to be picking up this coin, which means more competition for blocks. This is great for the network - it helps secure the blockchain - but not so great for you. Basically a simple low end ASIC miner is about maybe 15 to 20 times more powerful than your CPU, and a mid to high range ASIC is many thousands of times more powerful. If you leave your wallet running in mining mode you'll probably find a few blocks per day, but it's going to use a fair amount of electricity for very little reward. Do you have any dedicated mining equipment?

Mining with a GPU is more efficient than mining with a CPU, but it's still orders of magnitude less powerful (and efficient) than dedicated ASIC equipment. You'll spend a lot of time fiddling with software and settings only to discover that you find two blocks a day. It's really not worth it.
If you want to play around with mining, search ebay for "gridseed" or "gridseed orb". This is an older ASIC miner which has come back into fashion because of the recent rise in value of Bitcoin. If you hunt a bit you should be able to buy a 5 chip miner for $100 - $150 USD. But really you should consider this a hobby purchase rather than investment, because it's still not very powerful, so you may not make back the purchase price.
I've had a 5 chip miner going on IFC for a while but now that difficulty is rising (due to competition from other miners) it's going to be harder to find blocks. Right now a 5 chip Gridseed would find roughly 15-20% of all blocks. A GPU would find only a few percent and a CPU possibly less than 1%.

Hello
Thanks for the info .. I know mining with cpu is not good at all ... but what I am asking is how to set up ccminer for example to mine with gpu ... I understand is not profitable . But I am not looking to be profitable for the moment I am looking how to set up a miner to mine ifc with gpu.
Also I am confouse atm because I have the impresion that I can't mine in a pool atm because does not exist one
Thanks

Thanks for the info .. I know mining with cpu is not good at all ... but what I am asking is how to set up ccminer for example to mine with gpu ... I understand is not profitable . But I am not looking to be profitable for the moment I am looking how to set up a miner to mine ifc with gpu. Okay, this may give you some idea of the potential. Back in 2014, before moving to ASICs, I mined with 4 X R9 270X and 2 x R9 280X. Here's the 270: http://www.gpuscanner.com/amd-r9-270The mining hashrate of a single 270X GPU is roughly equivalent to a Gridseed 5 chip ASIC (but power consumption is 20+ times more!) There are other GPUs listed on that site, so if you can find yours, scale the estimate based on the hashrate. My 15-20% estimate in a previous message was a fair bit off. I've checked actual mining output and over the past 2880 blocks (24 hours) my Gridseed won 63 blocks, or 2.2% of the total. With the current reward of 100 IFC per 2 minutes this is about 1575 IFC per day. My main concern is that you spend time setting things up, then difficulty increases as more miners jump in to take advantage of the current reward system. For example, difficulty has increased by about 4 times in as many days. The chance of winning blocks is inversely proportional to difficulty, so if difficulty increases by (say) another 4 times, the daily estimate will be a quarter of what it is now. If difficulty went up by (say) 10 times you'd only be making 157 IFC per day. I don't want you to waste your time only to be disappointed because your already small mining output dries up as more miners put their own hashpower into this coin. Anyway, if you do decide to continue, this page, although old, should assist you with setting up the software: http://www.cryptobadger.com/2013/04/build-a-litecoin-mining-rig-windows/HTH.
