Is someone able to translate the content or give some insight?

EDIT: here is a translation with a voiceover:

I don't know Japanese, but it seemed positive. Using the google translate function, the blurb accompanying the video translates to:

"December 4, 2013 (Wednesday) broadcasting
bit virtual currency coins spread
Now, attention of the world has gathered in the "currency of mystery" on the Internet. It is a virtual currency called "bit coin". This bit coin, originally, a type of data exchanged on the Internet, there is no value whatsoever in itself. But its bit coin, now, prices are skyrocketing are subject to investment. And economic crisis in Europe, and in the background, lower credit to the world economy. Than the currency of reality, people who choose the currency of the virtual I have emerged."

did they mention that the creator goes by a japanese psuedonym? i'd find it quite funny if they didn't even bother to mention that.

They just mentioned that he goes by the name "Satoshi Nakamoto." No more commentary than that.

Jon Waller's voiceover/translation is sufficiently accurate. There's nothing too special or outlandish in the coverage, other than perhaps the emphasis on "no one will take responsibility if you lose all your money." It's overall moderately positive/neutral...but the very fact that it was covered on NHK for such a long segment is extremely positive, because Japanese coverage has been almost nil so far.
