Good morning, fellow bitcoiners. <Atlas, get the fuck outta my head!>  Grin

As some of you may know, I'm currently on the road heading to Las Vegas, now in Beaumont, TX, and having dinner with edd this evening in his hometown not far from Austin. Tomorrow, I will be at CoinTerra's office, taking advantage of their open-to-all-at-any-time-lab-visit.

Post all your questions, and what pics you desire me to take while on-site in this thread. I will ask every question that is posted in this thread via my laptop. (Note to self: wipe stains off laptop prior to having it viewed by somebody apt to get the wrong idea.)

I will answer them in order, live, for there's probably no way for me to remember all the answers sans a recorder.

I am doing this on my dime and WILL NOT accept any compensation for this service(s) provided to/for my fellow bitcoiners.

That said, ask away.

Ask them:

If a terraminer falls in the forest...does it make a sound?

Whatsup with the Goofy Globe in the logo? That is subjective, but "Frankenmint" just wants to know

Will you consider doing scrypt mining rigs?

Will more batches be made?

Has this position yet been filled?  http://cointerra.com/principal-verification-engineer/  If not, WHY NOT?Huh!?

Tell them to hire "Frankenmint"  Tell them "He claims to be keen to resolving backlogs of support requests both through autonomous and non autonomous mechanisms."

Will you disclose if they give you a half-working Terraminer?  j/k.  Thanks for making the trip.

I'll answer this while I'm taking a shit in some Texan McDonald's bathroom using their free Wi-Fi. I will not accept any gifts, half-working or otherwise.

Seeing this post a bit late, so hope you check this before you visit tomorrow.

I preordered 2 Terraminers (1 group buy where I own almost 50%, and another on my own).  When I called asking about power usage they quoted 1300 kwh.  Someone else in my group buy called and was quoted 1650 kwh.  It'd be nice to find out the real deal.

When I called I had asked many questions which were thought up by my group, one of which was, "Is there a process for upgrading the firmware? How difficult is that process?  What is it like?"  We asked this because we considering sending our miners to a colo facility and if the firmware needs upgrading we might not be able to do it remotely.  They said they'd get back to me but they have not (about 3 weeks now)

Motherfucker! I could have save a trip, for that first link does a pretty good job. I, too, am on my way to Vegas, and am far behind, doing this side trip as a service for fellow bitcoiners.

For what it's worth, I still drop in, but make it quick, having the questions on this thread in front of me and still ask them all.

I'm going to bed, for I'm beat like a turnip, or is it a beat?

How loud will each unit be?

Since afaik, they are connected to via ethernet, how much bandwidth will they use on average and at peak times?

Will they need to be constantly rebooted and have their software updated on a near daily basis like a certain other asic manufacturer?

Assuming ideal conditions, how much uptime  per day/week/month can we expect without dicking around with the unit?

I was so tired, I misspelled beet. I'm beginning to like that business model--take bribes to be quiet. I wonder how much I could make a year doing such. Beleive it or not, we're on the same side.
