Why didn't you try banks in other countries in the EURO zone, many of which have a more reasonably relaxed attitude, and won't close your account just because they don't understand your business? Estonia, Slovakia now have the EURO so should have EUR-wide SEPA transfers for free, I don't even expect Austrian banks to be so picky, see
